Looks like Boston is going after Scandella.

Have to think that the Sharks really could have traded Braun to Arizona and Dillon to Boston.

In return for what? Not to mention losing 3 of the 6 defensemen they had last season. Scandella is more valued around the league than Dillon, and Hjalmarsson is so much better than Braun it isn't even close.

He's so ****ing dumb. None of these guys are any good. Of course you'd trade Braun, Tierney and O'Regan for someone like Duchene and die laughing as soon as you hang up the phone.

Hockey "insiders" are worse than in any other sport. They all seem like clueless, petty, organization yes men fan boys. I'd add our first to that package and still felt like we stole Duchene.

Basically every "insider" has been shocked by every move this off-season. Other than Stepan to Arizona, it's all been a massive **** show. Really separating who has a "source" and whose full of ****.

Im telling ya, let the young guns in. If we always have to get somebody theres gna be a problem. Draft from within.... I like the ones from the Barracuda.

We don't have any young guns. Maybe a young butter knife or two.

I've cut myself on a butter knife. Don't underestimate their powers. Just imagine what happens to a team with a good butter knife, when that thing stabs and gets in there, it's gonna hurt like a mofo

Not to mention, you can actually put butter on toast with a butter knife...you ever tried it with something like a pointy steak knife? You just can't get enough butter on the bread. So, maybe the butter knife can smother something, who knows?!

It's really freaking hard to muster up any real excitement for this team right now :\

The only thing we've got going on right now is the possibility of the two greatest players in franchise history leaving. Until Doug does something to address the future, why would we be excited? The draft isn't off to a tremendous start, especially when there were some prospects available with much higher upsides. Now we wait to see if Doug is going to actual recognize and address the only major issue facing the Sharks. If we make it all the way to July 1st and no major moves have been made, and Joe and Patty haven't signed, I think we're all gonna feel pretty awful about the upcoming season.

More than likely a lottery pick for a few years.

1) Two lifers and fan favorites who have carried this team for a decade might not be back
2) Our best players are 32 years old
3) Vlasic and Jones are about to sign giant overpayment contracts
4) We have no top prospects
5) Our scouts are trash
6) We have no trade chips

Yeah... Pretty grim.

I pray that Doug can pull a rabbit out of his hat, but if not, I think the Sharks need to clean house and find a new direction and new voice.
