Sharks postpone weekend ceremony honoring former GM Doug Wilson

San Jose Sharks originally planned to recognize Doug Wilson for his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Saturday, when the Chicago Blackhawks are at SAP Center

Sharks were planning on honoring DW's induction into HHOF with Chicago in town Saturday. Delayed (to next season) until DW can attend in person.

Huge respect to Pashelka and the other reporter (not sure of his name) here. Vlasic was not happy w/ their Qs and neither would let up. Media need to make him feel as uncomfortable as possible moving forward.

Yep, he has zero accountability. Always had an attitude, but this shit the last 3 years has been incredible to read. For everyone complaining about Karlsson/Couture/Burns and accountability, this is what true lack of accountability looks like. Every time he gets interviewed, Vlasic acts like he's doing perfectly fine and should get more ice time/responsibility. I'd honestly buy his ass out this offseason and eat the cap hits...I know it seems kind of silly to get so mad about this, but when the team has been straight up garbage for 3 years, reading stuff like this is mind-boggling. You're making 7M while playing at an above-average 3rd pairing level and then come out saying stuff like this. Good lord....

This sort of thing is no different than all the shit we’d hear from DW about the team. The whole thing is still country club until a new GM comes in and changes the culture that currently lacks any real accountability.

I really dislike the mixed messaging we're getting about this role. Sheng reported that the GM will get carte blanche but there are so many restrictions like Will can't be fired, the team has to compete, and a bunch of other crap like that. There's zero chance we'll have a good candidate coming to SJ and it's not because the candidate doesn't want it but because the search committee is absolutely unqualified

We can't even be surprised anymore. Can never get a straight answer out of this org.
