Google unveils vision for downtown San Jose transit village
Google announces a few details of their SJ downtown village plan. Essentially all the SAP Center immediately-adjacent parking would be converted to housing or office space (with under ground parking). And they'd take the "hill" they built up on the north and west sides back down to flat with road extended.
Skimming through the presentation here, sounds like they want to push for improved public transit: If they do this right, that area is gonna turn into a solid downtown commercial district. The Google plan might actually be a great thing for the sharks even though it might be a bit rough for sap parking

You know the last season of Parks and Rec where the Google clone invests in Pawnee and turns it into a real city? Kinda hoping this Google thing does that to SJ. Google's got the money and willingness to buy out the whole area and restructure the area properly. As someone who doesn't drive, god I ****ing hope so.
For a big city, SJ's public transit is pathetic.

Yea we'll probably just end up with some bedroom community for google employees but I wanna be optimistic.Realistically, it won't. It's just gonna drive people who've lived here for years out.
But I guess that's happening anyway.
Kane hoping he looks as good as Jumbo and Burnzie.
Pretty much a nothing story but when EA posted Erik Karlssons rating for NHL 20, it included an A on his jersey. When the sharks posted it they scrubbed out the A on the same picture.
