Chiarot is great. Amazing signing. Yzerman was cheated out of the HOF as a builder this year because of that.

What a warrior and amazing defenseman.

All those stars people that shit on him don’t know what they’re talking about.

And Andrew Brunette is a total knob for hardly playing him with the Panthers got him. Look no further than that as to why the Capitals made them sweat and Tampa swept them.

Damon had another really good game. He’s tossing out those beauty stretch passes and has kept the glaring issues to a minimum. Will be very interesting to see what ends up happening with him later this season near the deadline. He will have some suitors willing to pony up.

It's irrelevant at this point but it was very clearly a kick regardless of which camera angle unless your glasses have a tiny of rose.

Nico basically didn’t even celebrate the goal because he knew it was going to get called back on a kick. When the player doesn’t celebrate that is usually a tell.

No one but the homer broadcast argued the call.
Nico didn't celebrate cuz it was a fluke deflection that came off him either trying to kick the puck to his stick or back to Palat.

All I'm saying is I've seen similar goals allowed because the skate movement was more about turning or stopping even though there was motion during the puck contact with the skate. I'd love to find examples but the fact is anyone saying there's been consistency in how these calls have been made over the past few years is kidding themselves.

Things look promising, but the three teams we've beaten are a combined 4-11-1 (.281 P%).

So it's probably a little early to claim victory on either side.
Not to mention the analytics still haven't really shown up in the goalscoring totals against inferior goaltending (other than Sorokin), which was the whole reason for skepticism in the first place.

But a healthy and souped up D HAS been better so far this year, that's undeniable.

Take the points where you can get them...those are still NHL clubs and each of them were better than us last season.

I don't think we can discount any win coming from a 27 win season last year.

And we have absolutely outplayed everyone team w conviction. These all could have been blow out wins.

I’m not one to say you just give guys like this away. He would get us back a first overall pick though

Ridiculous end to this game. Holy shit that was tense.

Its a good thing i had a bad view of that zone from the seating so i didnt have to get as much stress.

Also watching the puck screetch to a halt before the EN was also hilarious

Cant believe this team held a 1 goal lead for a whole period plus a 2.5 minute 5 on 6. Times are a changin'!!

Blackwood now up to a .904%, which is slightly above league average as the current league average save percentage sits at .902%.

We're just not bad enough to get Bedard this year.

We're still over NHL .500 with still considerably below average goaltending (not from Blackwood, but Vanecek's numbers in his one game combined make it pretty poor) and our goals for has been below average at best.

So, it's pretty obvious we're too good for that this year.

If we start shooting league average we won't lose many games, but we probably won't outshoot the particularly better teams like this either. So we'll still lose sometimes. But early returns are that this isn't a bad team this year.

We were always out of the Bedard running. Even taking out our talent level, there are just too many awful teams this year, especially out west with some really shameless tanking in Arizona and Chicago

I still think the finish will come as long as they keep at it. Yegor broke through today so more Goose eggs off guys backs.

It's unfortunate that our 4th line is such a black hole

Doesn’t have to be that way - thats on the coaching. Wood-McLeod-Bastian should be given a run.
