Wow, you're right. He's tied for second. I didn't realize that, mainly because I think goalie wins is a stupid stat.

Yep. Most of has to do with the fact that he plays every game. Although it should still be taken into consideration in the Vezina due to the fact that a goalie can have good stats but an easy load like the Blues tandem last year, which I think is less impressive than a goalie with slightly lesser stats but play almost twice the games. And since they don't include games played in the stats talk, wins is the next closest stat.

Niemi should be a Vezina finalist if he keeps this up. Will he? I don't know. It seems like a lot of voters look at wins, and the Sharks don't have a lot relatively speaking.

He definitively should be, assuming he keeps playing the way he has. This is the goalie DW though he got from the get go.

Tied for 2nd with Price and Fleury. Tied for 4th going into the night in save percentage. 5th in GAA going into tonight. Both the numbers got better that went into the night. Niemi and Crawford are the only goalies in the top five for both categories with more than 20 games. If he maintains this pace, he's easily a Vezina finalist.

Damn. If it comes down to Crawford and Nemo, they'll take the guy from the O6 team. He might have a better chance if it's between him and Bob because noone cares about Columbus either but then Bob is a former Flyer so east coast bias could work there too.

That was a great game, though my stream gave me trouble for most of the 2nd. The little brawls here and there and especially at the end were entertaining, there's something brewing between these two teams.

Watching Vlasic beat Heatley was funny, but I didn't want to see him get hurt. Hope he's alright.
