Yet another positive second period

It's the only consistency they've had these past several games

They're just connecting and picking off passes better right now than I've seen them do all season

There's actual chemistry going on. Ever since we starting scoring over the last week everyone is flowing better offensively. Jstaal has been one if the biggest improvements IMO, the plays around him are clicking better. Skinner playing a smarter, simpler game has made that first line flow better as compared to semin's constant slowing and delaying. Ruutu moves the puck quickly as well.

I think Lehtonen's is the best, and the rest could really go in any order.

Lehtonen's was good. Reimer's was good, but whoever shot the puck so far back towards the center of the goal, along the ice, where only his leg was. And the Calgary goaltender spun like he did, why? It seemed completely unnecessary.

I forgot what was at 5. But Ward got Greening's shot midair. That was ridiculous.

Sharks aren't really impressing me much considering they have the best record in the league. Do they look a little off tonight to you?

I think they're tired. When they are on, they use their speed and strength very well in all areas and don't turnover the puck as much as they have.

I will attest that the Sharks are typically amazing and are not playing so tonight. I have watched a half-dozen of their games this year and thought "Jesus, no wonder the Canes are in the lower half of the league". The Sharks can pass and shoot (50+ in at least a few I watched) like nobody else.

The Sharks are tired (as are the Canes, I would presume) and down a player, according to Tripp.

If we had a real chance to beat one of the best teams in the league, this is it.

Jimmy Howard save off the blocker was #5, I think.
