You are talking about a few posters at least one of which I'd suggest has an axe to grind and I doubt any of them have watched more than the one video @Guadana recently posted there to form their not at all biased opinions. No, wait, who am I kidding, I'm sure that handful of posters who aren't NJ fans have done nothing but watch KHL games to evaluate the progression of Mukhamdullin's play over the past two seasons.
I put tremendous value in those who post such detailed analysis on the main prospect board. I have no idea how they manage to watch 25 hours of amateur hockey a day, 8 days a week, but obviously they do.

It's not amateur hockey in the KHL though. That makes it all the more attractive to them to evaluate a player who was a teenager until the middle of last season. They dig deep. They regurgitate shallow hot takes and crap on a guy who they could care less about. That's not easy. Their use of the broad brush stroke is unparalleled. I also presume they are watching on a smartphone which makes the viewing experience so much better. I envy those posters and their keen hockey analytical skills and ability to sum up a guy they know nothing about in one sentence based on about two minutes of total viewing. The NHL scouts could learn a thing or two from them.

Now this is a detailed and highly accurate scouting profile of those main board scouts! You've obviously been observing these guys for some time.

It's not just Marino but the Nemec pick. Severson isn't re-signing. I expect him to get traded at the deadline if Nemec is playing well no matter what the Devils playoff situation is.
if the devils are still in the po race and severson plays a meaningful role (he led all skaters in toi the last three seasons), trading him sends the wrong message. it doesn't hurt nemec, if he has to work to unseat a more established player.

Shaq isn't perfect, but you know. Goals scores. Someone on the ice. He is playing top 4 role. And you never know will he fix his holes in the game. Even Luke Hughes has enough of them. And he was drafted much higher(yeah we live in the world where draft position change the game and you should automatically be perfect player, especially for the 20 pick).
But he is developing his game. Its obvious fact. Everything you need is watching his game. Why people play the same song? I can give you fun answer you can use against them if you want. First of all he is from Russia(that was an argument way before 2022) and he is Muslim. They hate Muslims. They are right supremacist nazis)
If we will talk seriously, I really don't know. There are not many players from 21 to 45 who has better career for now. May be Peterka looks obviously better, but that's it. Wallinder, Grans, even Bourque and Perreault have problems with their game, and we don't have any need in Bourque and Perreault with Holtz, Bratt and Mercer in the roster.
Sometimes people just want to have whipping boy. May be they feel better and smarter this way. When they trying to talk post factum about unfinished projects. I really wish only success for Shakir not just because he is devils prospect, but because he is rare Muslim player(to be fair, we have a lot here), who got tonns of critique just because of draft stocks. Draft stocks of plsyer who play in second pro league from 17 yo.

I didn’t know he was Muslim. That may get him over here sooner since we’re more accepting in North America. Hopefully he can be the second player to bring the cup to a mosque.

There is the benefit of keeping Sevs all year which assuming a healthy right side would push back Nemec’s contract year.

What is that worth? I really don’t know but if we are in a playoff spot that plus the contract benefit is probably worth(or at least takes the sting off) not getting a return from trading Sevs.

He has improved a ton since last season to my eyes. He looks much quicker and decisive. He is still a bit top heavy but he will fill out his frame as he matures. His shot is heavy as he showed on that assist the goalie couldn’t control. His passing is a bit ordinary but he won’t need to be a creative passer in NJ. He was doing some PK in that video. He will give Bahl and Okhotiyuk a run for their money once he gets settled in North America if he continues to improve.
Shak playing pk is important. Being good on the pk even moreso as Im not expecting that to be a strength of Hughes. If Bahl or Ok are good at PK then that makes for some stiff competition for that third spot.

What is the latest projection for when Shak will come over? Assuming Bahl or Ok can play effectively there is really no rush.

Mukhamadullin has an ELC already. As I understand it he is technically a NJ Devils player on loan to the KHL. If that is accurate and his KHL deal ends at the end of this season, maybe he finishes the year in the AHL if there are any games left when his KHL season is done. Alternatively if he doesn't extend in the KHL he can start in Utica/NJ next season. As always, with a KHL player they have an option to stay home if they don't like what the NHL team is offering so we will see but hopefully he had a good experience in his short time with Utica last playoff.

I think he looks much improved compared to last season based on what you've posted. Of course, there are a few main board posters that can tell from never having watched anything before that he's regressed as a player. My guess, they just looked at his scoring stats which haven't taken off, but I think they miss the boat with Mukhamadullin. He's not an offensive defenseman. He can shoot and he can make a good pass but he's more of a minute muncher all situations guy who can play good defense and move the puck to the forwards. That's not a star most likely but still a great player to have on your team. If you don't watch that sort of player over a long stretch you won't be able to see the development which is more subtle. I trust your evaluation. If you tell us he's progressing nicely that's about the most educated opinion we can ask for since you actually watch all of the games.

From what I'm reading from you, is giving me a good hope that I'm doing everything right, as video maker and as forum writer.

Yap. He reminds me some version of Graves. Less that or more this and better here, worser there. And of course he isn't done as a project, he still has enough to work on. But telling "he is regressed, didn't develop, same as he was, yadayadayada" is just not truth. It is not what is going on in the game.

And im here to not selling him and other prospects for devils fans, and other players, I just tell and show what they exactly are in the moment, where they were, what are they doing on the ice and what should they fix.
I believe I rank Shak even bit lower than most of the Devils fans. But im not telling that I don't think he has potential. If I have Okhotiuk higher in the moment of time, and I had him higher before, that's just because I have my own preferences, and this are conclusions I made when I watched both.

If we would talk about selling... I would prefer to sell Bardakov. Devils dont understand what they actually have)

More accepting than who?
Anyway I don't think that's a problem.

Since everyone knows I love to Google I will point out that Ufa is in Bashkortostan:

Over a hundred ethnic groups are represented in the four million strong population of Bashkortostan. This constituent republic is a mosaic of ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural communities, unprecedented even for Russia.

Islam and Christianity are the most widespread religions in Bashkortostan. There are nine major centres of worship in the republic. Its 1,445 religious communities belong to 22 faiths. Over 900 mosques, 200 Orthodox churches and 60 parishes of other Christian denominations are open there. Ufa is home to two Jewish communities, one established in 1993 and the other in 2000.

Islam and Christianity account for over 89 percent of all religious organisations in the republic, with Muslim communities making up 67 percent of the total, Orthodox Christian 22 percent, and Protestant 11 percent.

There millions of Muslims not only in Tatarstan or Bashkortostan, but in many regions. Its a big part of nation.

I think some times we in the west forget just how much landmass Russia spans. It's really something. Russia spans 11 time zones. For comparison, the continental US spans 4. That's just a dramatic difference. Russia is really home to so many cultures and backgrounds in its population. Really remarkable.

I was providing that information for non-Russian posters just to be clear lol.

I’m sure it’s very obvious, but I realized I replied directly to you like

Yeah. I even never be in the east part. Hope will fix it soon. Btw as I remember Shakir lives in the same time zone as me)

Would be great if he will be the second one who will win the cup. In Devils uniform of course.

Tell him we over here are all rooting for him. I believe there is a thriving Muslim community in NJ that I'm sure will welcome him and make him feel connected to something familiar.

Shakir Mukhamadullin,
#85, white jersey
Salavat against Admiral, 16 sept 2022
All actions, good and bad

Thanks for sharing that. I cannot wait until the main board posters explain that despite having a very good game with maybe two risky plays that he recovered from, and a host of excellent plays, Mukhamadullin is regressing, puck watches, is weak, and has a bad hockey IQ. They won't notice that he owns the wall in this video, he does a very good job covering for the other players, has a very nice give and go, and a solid shot at another time, and routinely alters the opponents' skating approach to his net. Even on that entry where he loses the puck and it goes the other way, he beats the forward back to his net to slow the opposition and help end the break. You can see that there is talent and potentially an NHL game for a second pair guy. But of course, he's worse now than he was at 17.

Shakir's such a prospect he's playing games in the future. Or he's just playing in Vladivostok. Anyway, I don't know how a league deals with teams having to play games 5 time zones away, but it looked to me like Shakir adjusted just fine. Some questions I'd have about his D zone coverage but he's learning other stuff, that give and go was a nice little play.
