OT: Severe Weather Discussion III

As of 11:20 AM my front walk yardstick reading is 8” here in Eastern Queens.

It’s difficult to get an accurate reading. It’s pretty windy here and it’s snowing sideways
 
r u fkn kidding me....I was so ready to watch a matinee...ok..did the team fly out to Seattle already or did they head to Minnie instead? That extra trip just made us more tired
 
Blizzard confirmed for Suffolk, accumulations on the island running like from 10 inches by the city to pushing 18 inches out east. A nice little snowstorm if I do say so myself. Eastern Mass getting hammered.

Snow should wind down over the next few hours from west to east

Understandable to postpone the game, but a shame we've had so many moved this season. Hope everyone's been alright out there.

In Deer Park we got much higher than that, like 2 ft.
 


tell him we'll take another game at a discount. i'm sure there is a clause in the contract about these "act of God" occurrences that he will rub in your face. petty guys like us don't care about such legalities

So are you getting dug out? Will there be a game against MN today? Sounds like you got a good 14-18" of snow, with high winds causing drifts? That's a lot, even by Minnesota standards.
 
Resurrecting this thread. The extended outlook for me in Nassau is looking like some snow the 23-26th. Was curious what our weather folk see/think. I can't even remember the last white christmas we had
 
Would have been a nice snow event this weekend but the storm will pull in warm air which ends that discussion. As for later in the month, it’s just too far out to predict.
