You guys rapping on Wennberg are out to lunch. He plays so intelligently and is so aware on the ice. I would love to have him on my team. Whether or not he can be a playoff success or disappears a là Kuznetsov, let's wait a week or two before arriving to any conclusions.

With Letang, I would have said Pens in 4 or 5 but without Letang and without a conditioned Malkin the series could go either way. Would not be surprised if this a series that Bobo or Murray ends up stealing for their teams.

Also I wanted to comment on the whole dirty player thing. If you go on YouTube and search for Dubi dirty play/hit you get more results of him being cheap shot then throwing them. I saw 3 from him 1 I thought was a clean hit on Koivu but even if that was dirty 3 over a career chronicled on video and thinks a guy hated for his play style if there was more evidence it would be there.

Now do that same thing for Crosby and Jesus is that guy dirty. The slashes and the slew foots and jumping a guy already ties up punching the back of his head and then what looked like he was aiming for his balls but went straight to the *******. All of his fights are either him taking someone down, jersying them, or jumping them. Then the dive and complaining compilations... how can anyone honestly say Dubi is the dirty/garbage guy?!?? I get one is a much more generational scoring talent but does that excuse everything?

Honestly from now on just tell the people to show the evidence and proof of this historically more goonish then the broad street bullies team we have here and you can immidietly flood them with infinite proof of their team doing worse... They would still not comprehend it but at least other fan bases could.

Crosby is the NHL's version of the NBA's Michael Jordan. There were always NBA rules for everyone else, but Jordan always got away with breaking a lot of those rules. He was the face of the league, so he was the NBA's darling.

It is the same in the NHL for Crosby. Any other player dishes out a bag shot he gets a penalty, and supplemental punishment. Crosby is well known for his nether region cheap shots, and the league let's him get away with it.

Marchand just got a suspension for his shot to another players jumblies.

You be the judge.

I love Wennberg, as far as his sense, and playmaking ability . He would be on a totally different level though , if he became more aggressive , and shot the puck without hesitating. Once teams realized he was always going to pass on the power play , the effectiveness of that unit went down quickly .

I agree with you on the series, and absolutely think that Bob could carry us to victory in this upcoming series . I expect them to be very physical with him, and Zach , to try to get them out of their comfort level

I think losing Letang is going to have a huge psychological effect on the Penguins. Not sure if they will enter the playoffs fully believing in themselves. Jackets could take this one if they play a physical series and Bob plays to his full potential.

How will the lost of Werenski effect the Jackets?

CBJ need to wake up soon, if not Pitt is going to carve us up like a fat Turkey...

Our defense is horrible and I don't even know where our offense is??? In Cam's locker I guess....

If they lose to Toronto that's seven in a row..... no excuse for that... If they beat Toronto that will give them some spark.... Pitt can't wait to play us..

70%+ on the Playoffs board say the Pens will win

Even if we have gone cold, have people not seen the Penguins' injury list?

Do people feel different now about Murray's importance to our team? Without him our D has been pretty bad. When we went stints without other guys this year and he played it wasn't bad but without him it's like we have a different D all together. I always argue he's a #3 on his worst days but I feel he is a #2 and would be our 2 this year if Werenski didn't step in and establish himself big time in the league likely being right around #3 in the best Calder race in years.

Hopefully he can fix that damn hand so we can get our team rolling again. We need him. If we have to rely on nuti and Harrington we are in trouble. I really like Q too but he has committed so many stupid penalties this year doing that against Pitt will end our season.

So you don't think that it is maybe the combination of losing Murray AND Werenski that is the problem? Because it sure looks to me like the biggest problem is with the top pairing, not the third.

Murray went down long before there was any spike in GA. His performance this year was also statistically indistinguishable from Nuti and Harry (actually worse). The GA went up after Werenski went down. I don't think Werenski is that great defensively yet, but Jones has struggled besides a rotating cast of guys - the chemistry and comfort level isn't there.

I can imagine having either one back would be good for Jones. But I'd also like to see Harry - Jones, just because Harry is more solid and predictable than the other 3 Jones has been paired with. So I must be nuts.

What changed when Murray went down is Quincey and then Werenski started getting ALL of his pk time. The GA wasn't ever a problem. It was the GF that became an issue. And without looking I'd wager his overall TOI went up.(Werenskis)
