clean game

also it doesn't seem to matter who is in the lineup because we're playing properly

It would have been nice to see our AHL call ups play with the big club as it's playing now.

Now that the team is skating and forechecking - Sens hockey is fun to watch again.
I hope we never go back to that full retreat defensive hockey we saw in the first 30 games.
It was a painful reminder of the Craig Hartsburg days.

Let's add some Ned's Atomic Dustbin to the list of underrated British bands of the 90s.

Some notes on the game:

Turris is ridiculous. I was telling me brother what uncanny playmaking vision he has developed this year and seconds later he wires it to make it 3-0. A minute later, he comes flying down defensively to stop a scoring chance against where he tangles up the late trailer who usually has best scoring chance. I can't say enough good things about Turris.

Ceci is marvelous. WOW. The guy looks like a seasoned veteran and something I've noticed is he has that special hockey IQ knowledge that only a gifted hockey defender knows. Like when to use the body and when to use the stick check and where to place the stick or position the forward for minimal damage. You'd have to come up with hard argument that he wasn't holding down his pairing tonight.

Good things can't be said enough about MacArthur.

Ryan is trying really hard to score, you can tell but it'll come. Hopefully he explodes against Montreal for 3 or more goals.

Spezza had very good game. He was skating which is when he is most effective and he was in his zone. He is still trying to get into that natural elite offensive grove but that's expected, imo. Some great plays and passes.

Is Stone brilliant or is he brilliant. The guy appears to give ooze ridiculous IQ and has made Spezza feel comfortable again. No knock on Spezza but Stone looks like the best offensive weapon on that line!

GTFO GREENING BRUH WHY IS HE ON THAT LINE. HE KILLS EVERY. SINGLE. PLAY.

Condra is our best utility player. He blocked 2 very key point blank shots that could have been premium scoring chances and scored the goal which made us play our game.

Cowen and Wiercioch looked like they were in the Zone. Karlsson not as good as he can be but slowly getting there and getting much better defensively.

Btw, as someone who has played goalie and can detect body comfort in net, Lehner is lacking it. Yea yea I know he got a shutout and everyone knows I'm his biggest fan but I really think he's fighting a lot of pucks out there which, early on the year, he made tic-tac-toe scoring plays look routine stops. Probably cause he hasn't seen enough action but it's been 5+ games. I really think it's because he posted ridiculous numbers yet we were still losing and he'd be pulled if he lost a game even if he did his best and made pressure on him greater. Good think we still have Anderson to help in that respect. Even battling the puck, the guy got a shutout. Potential is through the roof for The Lehner.

I see your Ned's (great song) and raise you a MBV:

(saw them in Toronto a few years ago, it was the loudest thing I've ever heard. They gave away earplugs at the door.)
