This win must be how it feels for a lot of teams playing us this season.

Good game, but boy oh boy did Montreal ever lie down and let us walk all over them tonight. Pretty shameful showing for them.

Even that seems odd to me. These guys have an army of dietitians and personal trainers at their beck and call. I get that they pig out and booze it up fairly often, but like with how much they are working out and practicing they should still be in amazing shape.

Oh and they are. The problem is when you compare them to players that don't pig out and booze it up.

Some players aren't mature and party it up regularly and get mcdonalds at 3am like us lazy fat ****s.

Others take their career seriously and maintain a good diet, workout regime, and lifestyle. Like i doubt crosby is getting wasted and eating cheeseburgers. He'd rather work out and watch hockey. He's a hockey nerd.

when conditioning becomes really important, you can tell the difference between the top athletes that never cheat, and the ones that always cheat.

Took a peek at the Habs thread. It's funny reading other fan bases talk about tanking they sound like such losers with their posts. I feel embarrassed for them.

I guess Galcheynuk wasn't good enough?

Even if Ryan trained like a mad man he would probably still skate like Weircioch. Everytime he skates it looks like he's struggling

My feed froze when he was skating on the forecheck a dozen seconds after his shift started. His stride looked identical to that of one who was just bag skated and about to puke. But i repeat, he was 12 seconds into his shift, and hadn't been on for a couple minutes before.

He has no cardio.

51 points is 23rd in the league now? Damn.....the NHL really needs to do something to increase scoring. That is brutal. The game is so much more fun to watch when you have several guys breaking 100 points a season.

Adding a couple expansion teams usually helps.

Smith's horseshoe seems to be on vacation. He has missed a couple good chances lately.

I'd like to see Pageau and Zib hit 20

Would not be surprised at all if both hit 20. Stone can definitely help JG get there and we all know Zibby scores in bunches, and he's on a 5 game point streak which could continue on until game 82.

I'm especially rooting for Pageau though. Kid's finally playing with real talent and he's showing that he's quite up to the situation. Imagine if he hadn't been stuck with Lazar and other scrubs for most of the season?

Montreal played absolutely lousy. We played a little better. But it wasn't pretty to watch, not much skill showed by either team. The Sens need to do what Toronto is doing, go for the youth movement and get rid of the garbage on the team.

If we didn't have the worst special teams in the league then we'd easily be a playoff team. Bump the 29th ranked PK and the 27th ranked PP (worst PP on home ice) in the 20 range and we're looking at this team in a very different light.

Very good point. I checked WoI and the Sens are actually 21st in GA/60 at ES... but tied for 28th for GA/60 in all situations. PK has sunk us this year.

Maybe Mark Reeds is the guy they really miss?

When did Lazar become a speedster?-lol...nice goal!

Uh... Lazar has always been very fast?

Completely different team playing tonight.

I'm sure they were embarrassed to have laid an egg against Buffalo last night and wanted to show they can play. Well, they should feel embarrassed for the whole season as well because they have a playoffs line-up (injuries didn't help but still... Wish we had Phaneuf earlier)

Why is Murray even making decisions anymore? How long is he going to be our GM for, until he's about to die? When is he just going to accept that he's never going to get his Stanley Cup and just step down..

I am pretty sure the 2 AGMs are very involved in decision-making. In fact, probably more than Bryan Murray at this point.

No matter who the next GM is, fans will complain if the team doesn't win it all. They came too close in the past and underachieved many times. This fanbase lost its patience (if it ever had one)

Habs fans got to be reeling this year. This is almost as bad as our collapse that one year. (was it 2009?)

Man, they started the season 9-0... I am pretty sure it's a LOT worse than any collapse we ever had.

What the heck are you talking about?

Aren't the Sens like the 3rd youngest team in the NHL?

I would like tankers to express their "tanking desire" to a guy like Mark Stone and Chris Neil for example. I would like to see them try to walk after

I really have been thinking about Pageau as a Gilmour Lite. Gilmour was a small all grit junior star. Drafted late due to size. Put in a role as a defensive forward to start in the NHL and then blew up eventually 3rd year playoffs.

I don't think Pageau is gonna be a player the caliber of Gilmour. But his play in junior and here and his growth and compete level and skill is similar on a lower level.

Pageau is definitely for real. He is gonna be a good 40/50 point player for a dozen years. Whatever his role he surpassed expectations there. Compete level is off the charts.

Gilmour lite. He will be that kinda player. He will play 700/800/900 games in the nHL.

This may sound crazy, but as of right now I would rank him #3 of the most important forwards on the team after Stone and Turris. He's the type of player you win with. All heart and consistent effort.
