Confirmed with Link: Sens trade 9oa for Eklund and prospects

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
our core is good but we need to add by not overpaying.

Chychrun was a move that I thought was something a good team would not have done. We also have thus far missed on Zetterlund and maybe Ullmark? I think our scouting and management just need to be better. We need to draft better
Draft I am absolutely with you. Our drafting has been absolute dog shit for half a decade.

We all have Eklund penciled in the top 6, but I had a thought of Eklund-Pinto-Amadio being an elite shutdown line. Eklund is like an Ehlers lite or Cousins with skill and a brain; he's also a good playmaker that would benefit from having a shooter on his line. Pinto is no sniper, but you give him more PP time and a skilled player to set him up, he'll pot 30. With Amadio ragging the puck and not letting anyone get by him, these guys would be incredibly difficult to score on, and contribute decent offence. Just an idea though, doubt it ever happens and makes more sense he's in the top 6

Would be sweet if he finds a rapport with Stu and it unlocks a new level for both of them. Actually let's toss Zetterlund into this fantasy since he's bros with Ek, and he'll unlock that next level too.
Stu 40-60-100
Ek 20-50-70
Zet 25-25-50

Not sure how anyone would rather have the 9th pick. All the forwards likely to be available at that spot are projected to be middle-sixers, if they develop properly. Eklund's already a middle-sixer, and he's a middle-sixer here and now, not three years from now. I'd rather have Eklund than draft a younger Eklund and have to wait three years for him to get here. This isn't a strong draft nor a particularly top-heavy one.
