Oh yeah because hf boards knows about a guys character in Europe lol. Most people that post here don't even know what they are looking at when they watch a hockey game let alone this type of thing. That's honestly hilarious. How would someone even know what a good or bad teammate is if they have never played professional sports to begin with.
It was a joke.. the attachment says it all.. and explains his desire for the ring.

Forget it.. I just saw the date of the post .

The guy was 3rd on his team in points and 18 and 23 points behind 1 and 2.

Yeah but the 2 guys who outscored him lead the league big a good margin. Smejkal was 6th in scoring overall

What's funny is that 3 ex-Senators made the Top-10 : Adam Tambellini, Andre Petersson and Jonathan Dahlen

He got almost all his points playing with them. What if it inflated his numbers big time? What if he would be #30-40 in points if he wasn't on their line? Now you've got a big guy who's not skilled enough for the NHL. And if he's not smashing into guys on the forecheck, he won't have a role.

He had even better production the year prior in the Liiga... But who knows what he can do in the NHL, he's an X factor for us and that's it

Maybe let’s just wait and see?

"My precious" has played in the world Juniors, two years in the WHL, the Olympics, the world championships a few times, and in Sweden's and Czech's top leagues. He's 220+, if he can get up and down the ice at NHL pace, he'll land a spot on the team.

I hope you're right, he's pretty intriguing as a player, I'm kind off hoping for something along the lines of Greening, but I really don't have any idea as I've watched pretty much nothing of him.

Of course! This is just the response/devils advocate to people who are penciling him in the line up (some even on the third line).

I just don't see how he's done enough to pencil himself in without AHL time.

Guys like Silverberg who put up a much more dominant season still had to have some AHL seasoning first.

I always thought Prusek was going to be the next Hasek...

I thought about Prusek but I think my expectations were always a bit muted.

While Darrin Madeley was pretty hyped in the early days of the Senators, the guy who I really meant to put in was Mathieu Chouinard, who we drafted twice in the Entry Draft because we apparently liked him so much, in 1998 (15th) and in 2000 (45th).

He never played a single game in a Senators uniform.

I don't know anything about him either other than looking at his resume. A couple of years on NA sized ice surfaces. Played in the top Swedish league. Played in 3 world championships where there's a lot of NHL players. I'd assume coming off the last world championships that our scouts saw a big guy playing against NHL players that could hold his own.

I remember in the fall prior to the NHL starting late having discussions about Zub. In Zubs case there was some video of him but I just looked at the league's and events he played in for Russia. I remember getting in a long debate with a poster when I suggested he could be as good or better than Zaitsev.

I think there's potential there. If he uses the 220 pounds, I think he sticks.

Methot after watching him at the worlds thinks he can provide competition for Kelly on the 4th line.

All about the pace . We fans have to hope for the best because the depth sucks

Yeah, I was thinking of Chouinard too, but I personally never had great expectations for him or Madeley, no particular reason why. Prusek though, I though he was going to steal the starter job, He just sort of disappeared with the lockout though, jeez I feel old with that being 20 years ago...

Yeah, he was a likeable but unspectacular guy.

The most noteworthy thing about him was his mask. ;)

He'd better provide competition for Kelly.

If you can't compete with Kelly, what are you doing here?

There's more hockey players that can't than can

Sure, but they don't play regular shifts on playoff teams.

Here's a factoid of the day:

Of the 407 forwards playing 40+ games in the NHL last year, Parker Kelly was 406th in shooting percentage with a 1.7%.

407 was David Gustafsson of the Jets who played 46 games and pulled a Bill Muckalt.
