Yeah but he had played 10 games already this season before camp even opened. He didn't need a full camp he just needed to shake off a little rust. If nothing else at least he would have been healthy competition for Wolanin and ReiLOLy.
We aren’t going to agree. I think 2 14 day stints stuck in a hotel room is more than a little rust. My hope is he gets in the lineup by our next home game. I’d like to see Chabot, Zub. Brannstromm and Zaitsev along with Wolanin, Brown and Gudbranson in rotation.

At this point, I'm wondering if it's worth dressing 7 D.

At this point, it's clear that they want Reilly in the lineup because he's the only defenseman who can play the PP besides Chabot. We should keep him in as a super sheltered PP specialist. It also gives us flexibility if one of our D is having a really bad game.
and playing 5 at a time, making a wall on the blue line. Cannot hurt. We may lose 3-4 : 0 instead of the 7 or 8 : 0.

I like it.

In fact, why not dress 8 D, it will keep them fresher..9 if you have 9 up here.

Any rule against 2 goalies playing at once..I haven't figured out if side by side, or one in front of the other.

AHL team versus NHL team..pretty much how the 21 season will go....for the life of me, I cannot figure out what happened games 1 and 2.

Edmonton need 7 D to deal with our relentless offensive attack. We come at you in waves - one shift it's Austin Watson, the next it's Derek Stepan, then we follow it up with Tierney and Connor Brown. It's a lot to deal with.

Can't stop them, can only hope to contain em a little

Hopefully Hogberg stops the whole dodgeball style of goaltending he seems to be playing. Ducking from the puck isn't giving fans a lot of confidence.

On an island
I wonder what the brilliant rationale is behind starting Hogberg, instead of the goalie getting paid 6M...

I understand Murray hasn't been great (bad luck has been a factor + bad team defensively) but the team invested in this guy, where's the confidence from the coach???

No Chabot again.

I don't know if I can muster another blowout. This covid has been brutal because we cant even get immediate help... We have to watch this defense for at least another 7 days.. Man, it's agonizing.

Don't understand starting Hogberg.

Whatever, most likely a blowout loss either way.

I'm kind of surprised DJ isn't starting Anisimov between the pipes.

Our goalies in their 20s have obviously struggled and we obviously need a veteran presence back there. Plus it's time Artem drew back in. It makes sense.

I mean, putting Anisimov in worked to get White playing well. Maybe we should consider it. :sarcasm:
