Trading away talent is never the answer.

Patience can be difficult but the Sens aren't even in that bad of a spot for this year yet really.

Trading talent for talent can be a good thing though. Also I doubt they will trade something top-tier like Tkachuk.

Don’t see how this helps. Chabot has been good this year.

It’s not like Chychrun has extensive experience in a winning culture either. His body language last season was arguably the worst I’ve ever seen in the NHL.

Chychrun looked great until the season was lost/wasted and he stopped caring. He knew he'd be dealt once he didn't want to keep losing. Now, on Washington he looks great again. It's no coincidence.

Chabot has been up and down this year. He's not worth his salary and is the longest tenured core player. If they want(ed) a shakeup, he's the clear answer.

Norris would be next as Brady, Sanderson, Tim, Linus, and Drake don't make sense for various reasons.

Sanderson and Pinto are 'core' but too new to shake things up. Anyone else isn't 'core'.

This is loser mentality and contributes to loser culture. That’s being part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Besides, I don’t agree Chychrun looked great. He was getting his cookies but he was playing soft and avoiding contact.

Chabot has had a few bad games but overall he’s been much better this season.

The only point of trading away a core player is if there's an opportunity to replace him with a different core player that brings something to the team that's missing. Making a trade for the sake of making a trade is completely pointless.

Plus if Ullmark was playing like the elite goalie he was brought in to be, then the Sens would most likely be in a divisional playoff spot and we wouldn't be having this discussion.
