Even just a squirt from one of those concentrated lemon juice (the small plastic lemons) will go a long way to changing the flavour profile of water.

You can also just drop some fruit or vegitables in a pitcher and let it infuse the water; cranberries, cucumber, lemon, ect).

I bought a soda-stream, but I don't use the syrups. I just make my tap water carbonated, then add a squirt of lime from one of those concentrated citrus squirters.

Great carbonated citrus water on demand. It's all of the yum.

My wife is pregnant and has decided that she loves soda water with either fresh ginger, lemon, cucumber, or a combination of all three....

Are you pregnant Bonkie?!? ;)

I briefly looked into a soda stream only to see the CO2 cartridges were obscenely expensive for what they are and never gave it a second though.

I mean, a 60 litre cartridge (carbonates up to 60L of pop) was 30 bucks, so you're spending a buck per 2L bottle of pop just on the CO2...

I'm sure you can find better deals than what the big box stores like Walmart and Crappy tire offer, but I wasn't prepared to shell out 120 bucks for the machine for the privilege of carbonating my own water, when I could probably just buy no name club soda/Seltzer for the same price as the bloody CO2 cartridge.

I've always wanted to make my own soda, as I find most of the commercial products are over sweetened and use HFCS or GFS.

Carbonated water is disgusting. Flavoured water is disgusting.

Drink regular water you weirdos.

I love the taste of carbonation. I hate most flavored waters because its over flavored and too strong.

My favorite mix is to just buy a regular Perrier and a thing of pom juice and just put a few drops of the pom juice in the Perrier and add a lemon. Perfection.

It's early for me over here and I kept reading 'pom' juice as 'porn' juice, and was like waaaaaaaaaaat? Ew!

I love carbonation too, probably why i used to drink so much pop. So I switched over to bottled water with mio, and club soda. For the life of me I can't tell the difference between perrier and pc club soda, so i buy the cheap stuff.

I know that nestle is the devil, but i just like how it tastes. And I'm much more likely to drink water if I can grab a cold bottle out of the fridge. I know it's dumb, but its just how I roll so I go with it.

A couple drops of mio to keep the flavour of water changing keeps it fresh. I dunno, works for me. I'll have a coke or a dr pepper as a treat when I go iut for dinner or something now

Yeah, nestle is not the most reputable company but I do enjoy their bottled water. That and the Great value water is what I buy mostly.

not trying to be an ass or anything, but curious why you wouldn't get a stainless steel/glass water bottle and refill that instead? I could be missing an advantage to buying water :dunno: (no sarcasm)

Sometimes I suffer from anxiety. Some of the stuff in these videos helped me understand what was going on a little better. In case you're interested, it might help.....(no ulterior motives)

I buy water when it's on sale... 1.88 for a 24 of Nestle.
Throw a few bottles in the bottom of my fridge... It's nice always having cold water at the snap of a finger.

I find it also tastes better then tap water too

Isn't it just tap water though?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought bottle companies basically took tap water and put it through like a Britta filter and voila!

I don't find any difference between bottled water or tap. I keep a L water bottle filled and in the fridge.

Depending on the bottled water company, they may not bother filtering it. Bottled water can come from various sources, be it tap water or spring water.

Truth is, water from different sources does have differing flavour profiles. Water from a spring, water from a well, water from the city taps, ect.

Personally, I don't see a lot of value added by getting spring water vs bottled water vs my tap, so I fill my own bottle

Since Nestlé takes it's water from relatively near me, Brita + tap water is as good as bottled.

I find though I really dislike the flavour of any water coming through Culligan brand office water machines.

Ah fair enough. Thanks.

My brother and his family drink only bottled water but they have a well and it tastes a bit funky. I'm happy to drink tap water at my place.

I have a well that I'll drink from but most of the time I just drink the Real Canadian bottled water. It's cheap and tastes good to me so :dunno:

Also +1 for carbonated fan. I sometimes have a glass with just a bit of cranberry juice or orange juice for flavour, sometimes I use thecitrus squirters.

No worries, that is actually a good idea there. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Here in my area there's a boil order more often than not with the water, I can't tell you last night I had tap water straight from the tap.
