Can't Hold Leads
Saw the latest movie in the Da Vinci Code series. Not sure why those movies get panned by the critics.
I got a 10week Maine Coon kitten... He's going to be a pretty badass cat... It attacks my other two cats already without fear... The amount of energy it has is pretty nuts too
Last week Nature of Things did a documentary on Pompeii and I was left wondering - is there a mock Roman village somewhere in Italy (or even Europe)?
I don't know how many of you have been - but south of Ottawa there's a place called Upper Canada Village and it's a functioning mockup of an 1800s village. A mill, the various farm buildings, houses, a post office, I think a telegram office too.
Fully functional. There were staff and children (who volunteered for their summer vacation(?)).
I always wondered if there are more places out there like Upper Canada village but for different time periods, cultures and 'nations'.
In Germany it's set up more as a museum but there is Pfahlbaumuseum
Also we've got the Doon Heritage village here.
And pretty sure there's reenactment places all over the southern US
So apparently they are making 5 more Harry Potter movies. Never was a big fan of the series, but did they learn anything from the Hobbit movies?

Five?
I just found out that Fantastic Beasts is actually going to be a trilogy but that's old news apparently.
Cursed Child is a play.
What are the other sources for movies?
edit: Just found the source saying that Fantastic Beasts is actually being stretched into five movies
SUCH nonsense. What's next, a seven-movie series on Quidditch Through the Ages? A ten-movie deal for Tales of Beedle the Bard?
Soon we will get to a movie for every chapter
I will destroy this planet in 5 minutes!

Yep. In pretty much every entertainment industry, the willingness to attack new IP is pretty much entirely in the realm of the independent creators.
Then they cash out and sell it to the big names.
But honestly it's that way in most industry.
Startups take the risk, the big corps buy them out if they're worth it
Video games is a good example of how damaging this kind of attitude is.
Big budget projects have their pitfalls baked-in by execs who seldom seem to consider the longer term.
