Whats the difference between gender and sex? I googled it and am reading the wikipedia page. Sex is the non-brain part of the body and gender is the brain? Then you get combos of male-male(male), female-female(female), male-female(hash-error) and female-male(hash-error)?

I find it odd, sex and gender were always the same thing in my life.

Ugh. Long weekend this week. I hate them here because they mess up the train schedule so bad and I have to take a taxi to work. But you know, all of us that need to catch a train at 6 am on a weekend are working high paying jobs so a $70 taxi ride is just pocket change.

Gender is not derived from sex. Biological sex is based on genes. Gender is based on identity.

If you are going to classify someone based on their sex, then which classification system do you use? Phenotype? Genotype? Chromosomal Sex? Gonadal Sex? Hormonal Sex?

And how much of an anomaly is it if Klinefelters Syndrome (XXY) affects between 1 in 500-1000 males? or Turners Syndrome (X0) affects 1 in 2500?

It isn't a case about people wanting to be a snowflake. It is about people wanting to be identified by others as they want to be identify themselves.

When I say derived I mean you have two states, male and female. And yes, I'm referring to the chromosonal/genetic classification. I won't get into an argument of how much of an anomaly an anomaly is, because that too easily falls into semantics.

Gender is how you identify in relation to those two states. So even though you have a spectrum to work between, eventually you have to do your analog to digital conversion and have specific quantizations to group everything in.

Whats the reason that threads are closed and reopened at 1000 posts on hf forums?

Could be because of the databases for some reason or another but idk

well they are using an ancient version of vBulletin (guessing 3.8 from the lack of functionality and UX), but even then, I would assume jelsoft understood how to index the db properly in the mid 2000s

Well I think I'm in love

Been almost a decade since that's happened

It's a weird feeling

Me too, my girlfriend is so dope. I'm worried about saying too much in case I get famous one day and people trace back through my posts in order to thwart my plans of world domination.

And a nice badonka donk

You know, I spent about an hour working on a post to try solve this entire discussion. I deleted it because I realized I was full of **** and trying to scientifically explain who someone is, and you know what? It doesn't matter. Everyone is different no matter how you spin it.

Just, worry about yourself and let others worry about themselves. If someone asks for help, your first instinct should be yes but you should not feel obligated to accept depending on circumstance. Find a combination of activities in your life that allow you to be happy while not being a dick to others.

Anything you do, as long as it fits that criteria, should be both accepted and encouraged.

That's it. I've solved life.

Not usually.

If your call option is at a favorable price for you (called "in the money" I know, sounds stupid) You can take out a loan from the bank to buy them. Any interest on the loan is a deductible on your taxes.

Thanks that what I thought. I've been investing the past 6 months and doing well adding over 30% to my tfsa through gains. I just don't know if it was smarts or due to oil falling.

I opened a taxable trading account though as you can get screwed by CRA if you buy and sell too much in there, and am trying to find ways to make money without actually holding the securities at any point or being exposed to high risk trading like writing naked call options.

Although with my new job I start on Monday being a way way higher pay I might buy stock and write some options hoping to just skim the contract premiums.

This, apparently.

Apparently not.

Intersting,

I wonder why the site owners dont update to a modern forum, guess with the custom mods it would be a major job, but keeping the 3.8 code secure must be a nightmare. Hm.

**** scalpers

Same issues as the pre-sale on Monday?

Man... I know I could probably make some money on my Hip tickets... but I want to be there for the experience... money comes and goes, this is a final chance to experience something moving, something lasting...

Scalper jerks.

Yeah me and a buddy both tried on multiple computers to get tickets to either the show in kingston or ottawa.

There right at 10, stuck in the waiting screen until there was nothing. Yet hundreds are on stubhub right now . . . ********

Stubhub being able to outright create a secondary market with inflated prices is so shady... I wish I was more educated on all of this, but it's a little ridiculous. Sorry you got screwed PoutineSp00nZ... no fun.

Is there still talk of an actual investigation into this?

Don't confuse my questioning of the subject for being opposed to the people.

I feel comfortable asking the Sens Lounge about stuff I know little about.

I'm very much about just focusing on my life and letting others do what they want as long as its not harmful or effecting me.

Re: scalping

Why don't the bands/musicians on these types of tours make their starting prices higher so that the potential profits for resellers aren't worth the trouble of trying to sell the tickets to begin with?
