Awesome! Good luck! I actually put thought into applying for this next season, so I'll hopefully be able to vicariously live through you!

Do you not need to have professional cooking experience to make it onto that show?

I think you're thinking of Chopped.
Masterchef is about amateur home cooks.

Though I think that generally most of the Bell Media 'amateur' shows tend to be mostly stocked with the low tier casting agencies.

Does McDonalds still refuse to fill up travel cups? Been drinking their coffee for a while now and was thinking of starting to use a travel cup. But I do remember something about them not accepting re-usable cups (or travel mugs) given by the customer. Wonder if that has changed.

Mccups are he best! Those double walled cups rule seriously, and they want to promote their buy 5 get 1 free deal

What an opportunity Silver! Go in with full confidence assuming victory, all the contestants that qualify have that mindset.

Ah heck, you're right, I wasn't thinking.

I'm actually a huge fan of the American version. I should know better.

The Canadian version I like better... seems to be slightly less drama, and more constructive criticism from the judges to the contestants rather than having Ramsay or someone tearing them down.

I've only seen a couple episodes of the Canadian version, but felt the quality of the cooking was much less impressive, so tuned out.

In the states they usually will not fill external containers due to health codes. Although I don't see how a health code concern could arise from serving 71 C coffee into a dirty container that is a health code and they must follow it.

You must achieve success in your mind before entering the auditions. Once you enter the auditions it will be simply a matter of procedure.

Have really crazy facial expressions. That's the only thing you really need for that reality tv stuff.

And don't forget to pretend to be interesting. They like characters.

My friend and I always joke about this. We want to audition for the Amazing Race but we're just two regular guys. So we always say we're going to sign up as an interracial gay couple where each of us are secretly racist towards each other. RATINGS!

Better yet, actually be interesting. But pretending to be interesting rarely works — producers see that kind of things every day. I'd imagine they have very good radar for fake people.
Good point

Aha. I want to see this.

AWESOME.

E3 is gonna be so bomb this year.

This is going to be the first E3 in a while where I feel genuinely excited. We've hit that point in this generation where top developers are putting content out. So many games to look forward to.

But man, I'm dying for some Fallout 4. Been fiending Fallout 3 this past week. I think I've concluded that I actually enjoy New Vegas a little bit more but they're both fantastic.

I'm also at least a bit intrigued by the potential of a new Mass Effect game. I mean, BioWare concluded the franchise in the absolute worst way imaginable and I don't know how I would feel about them reviving Commander Shepherd and company but I just enjoy ME games too much to not be a bit excited at the thought of ME:4.

My girlfriend is a huge Mass Effect fan. You might even say that she's a . . . . massive fan!

Anyway what she's told me is that according to Bioware, Shepherd's story is complete. ME4 is going to be a sequel but its going to take place in the distant future. Something about how humanity is leaving the milky way to explore another galaxy.
