Hahha yall are hilarious.

And he's a casual leafs fan. But he's going to his first ever NHL game tomorrow night (leafs game).

Would it be bad if I semi-hoped the leafs win for his sake. I feel like that would be bad.
It's a good idea to take him to see the Leafs in person. That should change his allegiance real quick.

Anyone else really tired of people posting / reposting list "articles"? They just annoy me so much. " 13 things that prove your 20's are the best", "18 things that everyone from the 90's remembers", " 25 things that prove you're best friends".

How about "25 other things I could be doing instead of writing this garbage".

To me, they're better than the hordes of articles/videos such as "X went to Y, and then this AMAZING thing happened!"

They're one and the same really.
13 articles where Y happens, you'll never guess what happened NEXT!

- 10 things that prove X is Y;
- 10 secrets that X experts don't want you to know;
- X went to Y, and this AMAZING thing happened;
- 10 cutest X moments;
- ...

Anyone ever been to a shrink? I can finally afford it, but not sure what to look for/ where to look.

Only thing I've ever heard (and not sure how solid of advice it is), is that it's kinda like shopping around for a car. Don't necessarily buy the first one you see, and take your time to find one you're comfortable with.

Never have, but if you are thinking about it I would.

It never hurts to talk about your problems/feelings, and the anonymity of the whole thing would make it easier.

Best resources are any medical professionals already in your life. Ask your GP, or anyone else you are seeing for other medical issues. Universities & colleges are really good resources as well - if you're in Vancouver, I'd look into UBC and see what connections they have.

That's a good idea. I should have gone while I was still at UVic. Thanks for the tips, everyone

Yup

Universities are a great way to get introduced to psychologists

When I was looking for help I went to see my GP at OttawaU and asked to see a counselor and after I used up all my sessions I asked to be referred to a psychologist, I got to meet three of them and I picked the one that I had the easiest time opening up to

The one who made me cry was the right one ;)
