Does anyone have any tips for keeping a normal sleep pattern? Its 3:38, and I'm awake, and this is not a rarity, and school starts next week.

Cut out caffeine and foods a few hours before you want to sleep. Stay away from tv before sleep. Getting a bit of exercise and taking a hot shower afterwards is good for sleeping. Reading a book for a while can also help...if you're the kind of person who gets tired/sleepy eyes easily.

Try to keep a steady routine.

Here's what I do:

I just go to sleep at 4 AM during school.

Yeah, probably horrible advice.

Adding smart phones to this as well. If none of this helps, take a Benadryl or ZzzQuil until you can get a regular sleeping pattern going.

Get an uncomfortable bed. I go to sleep at 10 and I wake up at 5:30 each day with an aching lower back. My back won't let me sleep any later than that.

Wake up early so you are more tired at night. Get only like 6 hours of sleep.

Watching TV before bed is the only way I can get tired. Lay down and watch something casual. If you are using your computer to watch something, use F.lux.

I phoned NHL support to ask about GameCenter blackouts. I get told that they dont know because Rogers handles that now.

I contact Rogers and im told that they have no idea. They have no information about GameCenter blackouts. At all. Nothing.

Become an early riser. Get up no later than 7am and that should help you.

My biggest issues with sleep schedules came from shift work, or having a couple weeks in one time zone and a couple weeks in another.

I found waking up and immediately going to the gym helped me at least be awake initially, then avoid TV/phones at night and just read a book when it's a proper bedtime for whatever time you're choosing is your 'get up time'.

Basically the idea was having a 'wake up' routine and a 'go to sleep' routine. So that way I cued myself to know when to do what regardless where I was.

I got Madden 15 yesterday. Really impressed with the graphics and how almost every player looks so much like their real life counter parts. The play suggestions are absolutely terrible, especially on offence. There's almost too much going on in the huddle but I'm getting the hang of it. No huddles are actually a legit strategy though and I like that even though it's burning me like crazy at the moment.

Go to bed early at first so that if you do happen to lay awake for a while, it wil stil be a decentish time when you fall asleep.

careful with nyquil, its physically addictive. Same with drugs people take to help them sleep like gravol that contains dimenhydrinate. A physically addictive sleeping pill can cause more harm than good.

Talk to your doctor about non habit forming kinds if u plan on taking them daily

Flight from Edingburgh to London had to turn around last night. Thankfully they still are going to get us to Heathrow in time for our homeward flight

I used to have TERRIBLE sleeping problems. Like, I would get 20 hours a week, but I'd be in bed for 56. Then I changed my diet. No more dairy or wheat, and I don't eat 2 hours before bed. Now I sleep like a baby and wake up feeling great.

Exercise is super important, too.
