Too bad someone else doesn't start a new sports radio station that deals mostly with Ottawa sports. TSN have dropped the ball & clearly don't care about Ottawa sports or their fans. They seem to be catering to what Toronto wants & sends that broadcast across the country.

it begins as the green sprouts seen on top. they grow and turn pink and white. then they open.
Wonderful smell.

Shoot 1 bloomed in August and filled my home entrance way with a wonderful smell
shoot 2 was eaten by a squirrel or chipmunk as a small/young shoot.
shoot 3 and 4 where indoors and took a while.

Saved from bulb.. the beauty of nature.

Oh it's not. If I really wanted kids I wouldn't let the state of the world dictate that for me.

I don't have much faith in our civilization lasting that much longer, or our species in general. But I strive to make the world a slightly less awful place for people while I'm here. In my personal life, and my professional one as a social worker.

I value my freedom, sleeping in on days off and doing what I want when I want. It's also why I don't have a dog haha.

I don't want kids for a variety of reasons. The planet being a pile of shit in 50 years, or whatever I said, is paraphrasing a George Carlin bit. I believe that, more or less, but its not the reason I don't want kids. Not the only one anyway, there are loads more.

I've experienced loads in this life, I've traveled, I've partied, I've worked and been lazy. I've seen a lot of this planet in my 40 years walking along it.

THis is what I don't get about people who don't understand why some don't want to reproduce. It's not that we're afraid, or don't understand . . . its that its just not for us.

Let people live however they want as long as they're not hurting anyone.

Of course, live how you want, but you are the one who said he is not having kids because of climate change; that's what sparked this. If you don't want to have kids, then don't; it's your life. I was just saying, Don't let climate change dictate how you live.

I'm not really being serious. We could change the world, who knows.

I just like throwing George Carlin quotes and shit around whenever possible. Didn't mean to make this about me.

Man I have met many young people who definitely think this way, so I just wanted to encourage you to not think that way. In todays world I don't know if someone is being serious or sarcastic with this stuff.

Haha yeah I hear ya. I mean its hard not to be bleak when we see the state of things. But I try to stay optimistic and not worry about what I can't control.

What I can control is how i interact with those in my personal life, and I try to make their world a little better. I do the same with my work.

For me and my partner we aren't interested in having kids for a variety of reasons. But I hope that Im making a small impact to make the world slightly less shitty for my friends kids, and everyone else.

But all that being said I really miss plastic straws.

The Bills need to fire McDermott.
The Giants nearly came back on them a few weeks ago!! Now the Pats. A 4-3 record could easily be 3-4. The Pegula's need to be more cut throat.. They hang on to Sabers brass too long and on Bills brass. Either Terry or Kim or both is a softie.

Max Verstappen can be a prick at times...
Mrs Horner (aka Ginger Spice) is looking better and better. That women is aging just fine.

The English loose 16-15 after leading 15-6 with 11 minutes left. Their #10 Farrell, lost his cool. And they were not in shape. Too much bangers and mash!!! The Springboks were deeper and better fit.

I hate the rain. I got soaked yesterday and have been in jail the last 24 hours.

time to bring the plants in. Frost tonight. OOOOHHH Winter

Agreed re: Ginger Spice! :heart:

As for rugby, I was rooting for France and couldn't believe they lost to South Africa, but now I'm on the South Africa bandwagon. That's too games in a row winning by a single point.
