What a 5 minutes!!!!
AJ on the Athletico Ottawa broadcast. "Ben Hoskins isn't fit to ref a game of 8 year olds!!!!"
Ohh f*** what a 5 minute tirade. Then he stops and says okay I got it out..returns to his tirade for a minute and adds "well I guess that I had not gotten it out of my system".
We need this guy on the Sens broadcast.
I don't want to turn of the game and go to sleep. I am afraid of missing something...Okay, no sooner that I write this; another tirade. "Here comes Ben Hoskins....."....Okay Tirade back on...
Whatever you guys do, get the audio for the game. ...back to a tirade....

I read it 40 years ago and still remember most details quite vividly.
I'm not a real sci fi guy and haven't read enough of it to know where Dune ranks vs the others.... but, for me it really was an amazing work.
If this film does well, wonder if that leads to sequels based on any of the other novels in the Dune series written by Herbert.

Denis Villeneuve doesn't make bad movies. Dude has a fantastic track record.
As a country we should be doing more to celebrate this Canadian's role as one of the best talents working in Hollywood today.

Denis Villeneuve doesn't miss. At least so far.
Just watch Sicario and then see how the sequel went on without him. Pretty hilarious stuff.

I didnt even hate the Sicario sequel but it's not on the same level as the first. That ending still gives me chills just thinking about it.

All of the Frank Herbert books are incredible. There is a bunch of extended universe stuff written by his son and others that is less so.
I've read the first book multiple times. This movie is going to be so, so good.

Also have older snowmobiles and dirtbikes. Anyone else enjoy tinkering?

In that case David had post production and final cut taken away from him. It's a film he immediately disavowed.
Different case for this one. Plus, there have been some early screenings, including with some pretty important people that have all had some pretty stellar responses. Namely, last year's Best Pic and Director winner Chloe Zhao had a pretty glowing review in the latest Sight and Sound issue. So I'm still pretty bullish.
I just hope people see it.

Yeah, I mean I'm not particularly concerned. I'm not even watching the trailers, I like to go in clean and I have confidence he'll do great.

Bummer they're deregistered. Double bummer that the Rhinoceros Party doesn't have candidates in many places, their "platforms" really lock in the absurdity of Canadian politics at the moment.
