I’ve hit the gym 34 straight days since they’ve opened back up :)

Gotta take some rest days bro. I’m talking no cardio no nothing.

I used to get so anxious about days off but I take 2 down days a week now and it’s a whole new world. Wish I would have been training properly sooner.

I guess it depends on the house, but I pay 2300$, and have umbrella insurance as well. I have Earthquake insurance, as Ottawa has some fault lines that can be problematic. That alone is hundreds of dollars on my premium. I have high deductibles as well, personal belongings, jewelry, etc... but my house insurance has always been on the high side. It balances out because my cars are on the cheaper end ( I look at what I pay total). In then end, I pay about 5600 for the house and three cars.

As a new homeowner the insurance definitely gave me some heartburn. I’ll be paying about double that this year (yay Florida). And that’s for a house that’s not in a flood zone nor a hurricane evacuation zone. Full hurricane windows and metal shutters too. It’s insane.

49 days straight now… I disagree
I lift every other day and on non lifting days I just do a half hour of cardio.

im in phenomenal shape… it’s working

Cardio can be done every day
Is It Healthy to Do Cardio Exercise Every Day? | Livestrong.com

According to those guidelines, to maintain good health, adults should get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity cardiovascular exercise per week, or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity cardio per week. If you can bump up to double that amount — 300 minutes of moderate cardio or 150 minutes of vigorous cardio per week — you'll enjoy even greater health benefits.

To each their own man. Whatever works for you. Glad that everyone is able to get back to the gym finally.

You do know that everyone gets a fixed number of heartbeats in their life, right? And what do you think happens if you use them up too quickly?

I went to the gym for two weeks, 4 days a week. Then back onto afternoon shift and my gym hasn't reopened as 24h yet :(

At least been getting on the ice once a week again. Gonna try to get back into net in a couple of weeks. Might make an effort to get to the gym this week just to get some the anaerobic system primed up ahead of time.

Also 'cardio' is a waste of time :D VO2 max can be built just fine off of heavy deadlifts and squats in a fraction of the time

I’d go into a crowd of 20K covid carrying people unmasked and not give a f***

Trust the science

I can say at the WC qualifier here on Thursday, that 70% did not wear masks. (Once they were in the stands)

How do you drink beer with a mask on.

Should be interesting for hockey, as MLB and MLS are mostly outdoors, while hockey is not.

You need recovery days, it’s common knowledge. ;)

Probably do what they do in restaurants. Mask to seat mask off at seat.

Or maybe with the passport masks are off…

Such exciting times….

Western Canada is running the start of the 4th wave right now, coming soon to a city near you.

Alberta and Saskatchewan have decided to stay the course on restrictions, BC has chosen to do the opposite and clamp down in areas based on health regions.

Two very different approaches.

Let's f***ing gooooo

Showed the Dune trailer to my 13 yr old son, trying to get him interested.... he derisively state that it looks like “a ripoff of Star Wars”. I had to tell him that Dune was written 10 years before Star Wars was filmed, and that Lucas probably got the idea of a desert planet from reading it!

Kids today.

I will say, whoever s in charge of these trailers is missing the mark. The trailers are just not very….. hype? They’re choppy. It’s like the person putting together the Dune trailer is the same person putting the No Time To Die trailers
