Bought one of those Margaritaville , slushy drink makers. It was so easy and does an outstanding job! Now I am going to experiment with other slushy drinks

the best margaritas are with no slush! :) (also it is Methot's wife's favorite drink... ) ;)

Jalapeño Margarita Recipe

To make this spicy margarita recipe, you need 6 simple ingredients:
  • Tequila – Use any good-quality blanco tequila in this recipe. We like this brand, but feel free to use your favorite!
  • A jalapeño pepper – Use anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of the pepper. The more you use, the spicier it’ll be.
  • Orange liqueur – You’ll see recipes that call for Cointreau and triple sec, but I love Grand Marnier here.
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice – For the best results, squeeze your limes right before you make your cocktails.
  • Something sweet – I sweeten mine with homemade simple syrup or freshly squeezed orange juice. Both are delicious!
  • And ice! Because a great margarita is always on the rocks.

I agree, a margarita on the rocks is pretty nice, but when it is 35degrees outside, slush is nice!

I am actually going to make one of my favourite summer drinks that i have a lot of in Mexico. Iceberg. Basically 2/3 a glass of beer topped off with some maragarita slush...awesome!

Also, a pretty easy and tasty favourite is a cocktail of 1/2 Kronenburg Blanc, and 1/2 Sommersby Blackberry cider, and topped with some fresh blackberries. You're welcome!

Just returned from the farce that was my daughter's graduation. Clearly, it was the least they could do, and I mean that literally. She ctually walked up stage , by herself opened up her diploma, and walked off, even though the email stated that the principal was supposed to be on the stage. There was no one.

Disgusting, and something that she will not forget

Who do you put the blame on for this?

RABBIT RESCUE HELP

my property has become a wildlife sanctuary. Rabbits, through squirrels, threw chipmunks, through raccoons, through stray cats.

A baby rabbit hopped into my window well last night. The damn thing is stuck and is in panic mode. I added plank hoping that he walks out, but he has not. The poor creature is probably freezing and hungry/thirsty.

311 is of zero help. Ottawa wildlife sanctuary has not yet opened.

Any help in getting the poor creature out. At this rate, he will be finished in a little while.

I have zero ideas of how to hold him, if to hold him, what to do to get him out. The way that thing is jumping, I will have an easier time catching a chicken in an open field.

If you have snowmobile gloves, wear them and try to grab him, if you can. Watch out for those back legs.

But....he could also calm down on his own and eventually find that plank and get out.....if a hawk doesn't spot him first.

Don't worry...you're going to be ok. The little fella will calm down. I wouldn't be surprised if a bit of food on the plank gets him on it and out on his own.

There's also the possibility mom will hear him and grab the lil guy and carry him out herself, too.

something worked..I added clippings and threw some down to him. He ate what I threw down and I don't know what happened while I was away, but he is gone. And I sheepishly looked for blood, just in case he was gone-gone..But, no. He must have walked up and left.

Phew..That damn thing jumped ~ 12", only to fall ~ 24-30". Only to spend the night freezing and starving. Only to bounce on the window and all over the well...UUHHHH !!!!

Who do you put the blame on for this?

She received an award, no notification for what it is for, and the medal is unclear. We ask the school teacher what the f*** is this for, and she said it was honour roll. Nope. Wrong. There is an honour roll diploma, this is clearly an award that she is trying to figure out what for. What a freaking farce.

I squarely, with a bullseye, blame the staff at the school. Complete disregard, as many I have spoken to have felt the same way. She met her chemistry teacher who didn't even acknowledge the fact that she had a 96 in her class. She couldn't even say good job, or well done. Nothing. Oh, I dearly hope these poor, suffering teachers get their summer break at their cottages tout de suite. The certainly deserve it.

Not sure this is an appropriate place for this, and if it isn't I will trust a mod to nuke it...

I'm looking for some thoughts on something - many of you here are more informed regarding legal matters, and many seem to have a wide range of business experience.

The company I work for decided at the end of the last fiscal to change the personal performance objective (PPO) portion of our bonus structure. That's fine, they are within their right to do so. Now, however, as q1 comes to a close, I still have not been told what that structure is, only that I and my team failed to achieve our targets.

I have been asking for details for months on this and gotten nowhere. Now to be told that I and my team will be receiving reduced payments without ever knowing what the target was is infuriating.

I feel that this is highly unethical. I accept that bonus payments are discretionary, but this seems arbitrary.

Am I off base?

About a year ago there was a discussion on this thread about UFOs / UAEs after the release of the official US Navy video(s) that showed some REALLY interesting flying objects.

I believe at that time the Navy stated they were commissioning an investigations into those and other phenomenon. The preliminary assessment was released on Friday and can be found here: https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Prelimary-Assessment-UAP-20210625.pdf

Thought some of you might be interested.

Have you directly asked someone what the new objectives are? Either your direct supervisor or your HR rep should be able & willing to answer that question.

If so, what was the response?

Personally, I cannot imagine any answer that makes sense. And I be more than willing to say "That's ridiculous." to your manager.

I have no idea whether any of what you describe is illegal, or even "unethical". But it is absolutely horrible management.

Thank you for the input - absolutely I have tried to get info throughout q1 and actually as far back as q4 when it was first stated that things were changing. There is either a very real "cone of silence" over the issue, or nobody knows

I feel it is unethical to dock payment for failing to achieve goals/targets that have never been communicated. I am not experienced enough in these matters to know if I'm using that correctly. But to your point, it most certainly is horrible management.

I think it is unethical. Because they are changing the terms of your employment, if you don't agree I think you could argue that this is the basis of termination and you could seek severance. As long as you keep records of all interactions you made with you superiors to show negligence on their part I think you are within your rights.

If they made changes that could be deemed unattainable this would be a sneaky way of trying to frustrate you into quitting which is illegal.

Also, I could be wrong.

Did you sign off on it in writing?

Seems like an incompetent organization. The main point of the program, from their perspective, is to incentivize staff to meet goals that are aligned with the company’s goals. That’s pretty difficult for an employee to do if they don’t know what their goals are. Very odd. Unless their only goal is to cut bonuses lol.
