GDT: Sens @ Leafs - 7pm - HNIC

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Huge game tonight, really looking forward to it.

Will they go back to Stolarz or give Joe Woll the net?
5 games this week, it'll be interesting to see how they deploy the goalies.

Then back out west at the end of the month, what a brutal schedule they've been on.

This is actually, legitimately, a must win game for this team. They put themselves into a position to win the division and have choked it. A regulation loss puts Ottawa in striking distance of our spot, meaning we are almost a wildcard team.. Mean we get the Panthers in round 1 as a WILDCARD TEAM

Even with 2 new significant adds on the blueline in the off-season + Carlo at the deadline and a legit starting goalie in Stolarz, who until his struggles lately was putting up some of the best numbers in the league, this team has a worse GA than the Senators.

And despite all that defense/goaltending + having the most expensive forward group in world history, the Leafs are only up on Ottawa by 6 points,

So yes, tonight's game can legitimately go a long way to deciding which is the better hockey team in 2025. For those endlessly optimistic Leaf fans among you (clearly I'm not one of them), let that sink in.

Game hasn't even started and this place is absolutely toxic.

I can't imagine wanting to keep doing (watching) something that made me completely miserable.
Lol where? Where specifically in this early thread is this place getting too toxic?

Are you just that sensitive? Every single post of yours on this forum is just you whining that the fanbase doesn't post how you want them to. Go somewhere else already.

Maybe it's you who should stop posting here as it seems it makes you completely miserable.

And yet - this game kinda does seem like a defining game for this whole core. Outside of Playoff Game 1 in a few weeks, this game --> the upstart Sens complete with their own Tkachuk and a crazy string of impressive hockey - against our mentally feeble and always too tired and generally disinterested Maple Leafs. I'm going to this one tonight, and I'm honestly petrified by the potential outcome.

I wonder of the players feel the same way as you. They sure as hell did not vs Florida and that was a 4 point game for 1st place in the division.

I was more worried about Thursday and they showed up for that one. I expect a good showing tonight.

Defining game? It's a game against Ottawa in March. Win or lose, the outcome of this game will have no bearing on what happens in the playoffs.

Must win. I’d rather the Panthers win tonight, as well. TTOE is too close to the playoffs.

Last 5 games shows 1 single circus time shootout win.
