The blue Jays only had about 10,000 for their Monday night game. They Dorioned their roster and this is the fan reaction. This is supposed to be something that can only happen in Ottawa according to some people here. Evidently, its not.

Hockey is a Canadian sport. Baseball is not. That was too easy.

Canadian's love hockey, but there are lots of ways we can and should support hockey without shelling out hundreds of dollars to help a former billionaire who has no interest in building a winner, supporting this community, and who has on multiple occasions, shown himself to be an out-of-touch, egotistical, miserable person, turn a profit.

NHL is a business. Hockey is a sport and passion. They're not the same.

If you love hockey, take the money you would have spent on tickets and support our youth programs. Donate to the Condors...

Right. Just going on what Molson taught me for many years. And Tim Hortons . And CBC. TSN. Sportsnet.

I don't care for junior hockey. Love my Sens, and the Leitrim Hawks.

I know people in Ottawa love empty seats elsewhere as I guess it makes them feel better. Glad it gives you a good case of the feels

It was empty there last night, No traffic going to the game, or approaching the parking lots and the Valet line was unusually quiet. Hardly any lineups to the washrooms. I think the fans already caught on about the November slides.

If the Sens did a tailgate at the arena it would be a sell out every game. at least in a October, November, March, April and all the playoff games and Leafs/Hans games

Nothing the Sens can do inside the arena regardless of how the team is playing would sell more tickets then tailgating

They would never do that lol. This isn't a fun city or team so they won't have the resources to control that type of event.

I wish, but I'll doubt you'll ever see the senators invite all fans to come to the premise earlier and bring your own barbecue and your own beer and just have a great time.

The amount of security needed for the drunk people and the cleanup crew for all the waste... I don't think they would want to hire all that.

I’ve only seen people do it at playoff games, and it was likely more on weekends.

They need to have a program where a Senators employee will go to the game and sit in your seat for you.

I would switch to full season tickets but I feel I'd miss too many games because come gameday I dread having to go to Kanata and (worse) come home from Kanata at 11PM. If I knew a certified Usher could sit in my seat and text me live updates about things like whether they resolved to bite the bullet and pay $15 for a small bowl of Lonestar Branded nachos, or how they were ready to do whatever it took to grab one of the shirts Spartacat shoots, but he was too shook to send it to their section, then I would buy more tickets.

If any the Sens head of marketing reads this (I assume an intern from Algonquin or that college that used to be in St Laurent mall), my DMs are open.

Going to a Sens game is like going to a Junior B game in an NHL arena. No tailgating is the lamest thing. I guess it makes sense when I can't even have a few beers on the bus to the game without getting dirty looks from boomers.

That mentality is why our franchise sucks. We aren't fun, so let's continue being unfun because that's the expectation and we can get away with it.

Tailgating might work as a special event for one game every few weeks, like how they sometimes put one of those wooden things outside the game with the hole for your head, and if you come early enough you can take a picture that would trick your friends into thinking you are Spartacat.

Nobody is coming to the CTC hours early on a Tuesday night when they have to drive an hour or two home at 11. Move to Buffalo or something. They have the Bills.
