When does this team do anything right?Precisely why the rangers can’t trust him and should have moved on from him if they could have

Ya and they're both fighting for the puck like they are on different teams.so painful, he attacks the defender, pulls a sweet spinorama and puts a dangerous backhand on net, the only forward on the team with the ability/balls to do it, then immediately gets knocked out by his moron teammate and is probably done for good. What a nightmare.
Says smarty pants coaches who like Nemeth and Tanner Glass lol. Id take my chances with him over forcing Lechysyn or Brodzinski into that spot. It's pretty silly eh.But you can't use the NHL regular season to experiment like that! Developing a young player? That's for the off season or the AHL...
Logic suggests this is some other injury then a concussion. They let him back first off. Second, if he is dealing with a head injury which would be multiple concussions in the last year, there's no way anybody would suggest its possible for him to join the team on this road trip.
They absolutely know, they just aren't going to say anything.Or at the very least they don't know.
They absolutely know, they just aren't going to say anything.
So why are they saying he might fly later? If they know it's a concussion they wouldn't say that, unless they're lying to keep it all a mystery.
They never said he had a concussion last year either.Put aside any feelings about the kid and think purely business. There's no value to the Rangers in declaring anything. He isn't on the road trip, that's all the public needs to know. "Concussion" opens up a world of problems.
The downside risk is so far greater than the return here, and I'd imagine the organization is looking at it the same way. If something happens to him there are going to be a lot of "how could you let him continue." They are going to be thorough for EVERYTHING. And rightfully so.
This is one of those rare circumstances (very rare), where nonsense like "upper body injury" actually makes sense and probably helps give the team/Filip time to figure things out.
We're not good enough to win the cup with him. Our defense is trash.I mean they could put him on ltir right now which does have value for the team.
you knew it would be a when he got another concussion, not an if. he’s one of the most talented players on the team and he can’t stay healthy. it sucks because we’re so thin at C. Without him, the team definitely isn’t good enough to win the Cup. Honestly I’m not sure where they go from here.
Every time he steps on a lego, he has to see 3 different doctors and may or may not be able to travel each time. It doesn't take 10 years of med school to realize that's a tough look for a professional athlete. Gotta forgive the doom & gloom given some of the bullshit that's happened to this team. We all want nothing but a full and productive season out of Fil - one that we know would be possible if there wasn't always something that shoehorns itself directly in the middle of every upswing he's ever had. But with each of these incidents it feels increasingly less likely we'll ever see that, or just see him healthy. It must be some sort of odd pathology, because now every time Chytil steps on a lego half a dozen people on hf NYR enjoy popping in and declaring his career is over for the 5th time.
All well and good, but they did put him back on the ice after checking him. Kind of goes against what you are saying here. The smart move from the beginning is observe, observe, observe when a guy with multiple concussions gets a head shot. They didn't do that.Put aside any feelings about the kid and think purely business. There's no value to the Rangers in declaring anything. Has any team stated publicly that a player sustained a concussion since the CTE lawsuit settlements? Serious question. Would not be surprised if the NHL and clubs’ outside counsel are advising them to say nothing more than UBI.
You’re 100% right. Was kind of shocked when he went back out there. All well and good, but they did put him back on the ice after checking him. Kind of goes against what you are saying here. I have zero issue with the Rangers decision to stay the course with Chytil in hopes of him putting together a few healthy seasons. He is potentially a top center in the league when healthy and his value is higher as an asset within the organization than what would have amounted to selling low on him (relative to his potential) in prior years.Precisely why the rangers can’t trust him and should have moved on from him if they could have
It wasn’t a nothing hit, he got slammed in the face.Another nothing hit, by a teammate again and another probable concussion….
I’ve said this many times already, but the rangers have no future hopes on winning with him as a top 3C on their team.
From a person standpoint, I feel for the kid. He should really retire. He’s made a few mill, will likely get an insurance payout on this contract due to injury if he does, he should invest well and live the rest of his life normally.
For a fan/nyr standpoint, the guy can’t be counted on to stay healthy. You can’t go into a long playoff battle with guys like that. You can’t game plan well, line combos are always in limbo/changing….
Love his size and talent, but his durability makes the risk not worth the reward.
He should be done for rest of the season( hopefully career) and NYR should be looking for a long term 3C
