He's been there. I just find he's pushing his play a bit. Needs to relax a bit. A couple nothing passes when he had a clear shooting lane.

I'm not worried about him. It'd take about 10 games of this and that'll probably never happen. He's getting plenty of looks. He's too good to not figure it out. Hopefully the 3rd is his time to get going.
That set up to Tavares right in front of me was a thing of beauty, great save though.

I don’t care that we’ve had a ton of chances, we have to convert. If you’re paid $22 million, one of the two has to figure how to put the puck in the net. This is what happens, you keep the other team in the game. Oh, and I’m really disliking Ritchie.

Matthews comes back and the whole lineup gets put into the proper place.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Kerfoot - Tavares - Nylander
Ritchie - Kampf - Kase
Engval - Spezza - Simmons
Amadio

Richie moves down to the 3rd line where he belongs. He is not a top 6 guy just not enough pace to his game. Bunting can be that pest and grinder who can open up space for Matthews and Marner.

Kerfoot lends speed to the Tavares line that allows him and Nylander to continue their chemistry and also lead the rush while JT comes in late to finish off plays or bangs in rebounds

Bottom 2 lines just do their jobs

Ritchie looks like poop, but I’ll reserve judgment until Matthews is back… he’s a role player, not getting paid $10.9 mil to suck

Weird to hope I'm right so much but be so pessimistic after two games to write that you already knew they weren't going to make the playoffs this year. But the bet shall be fun.

The team has enough talent that with the right mind set we shall win, and that loss hurt them last year after finishing first, they shall buy in and win at least a round.

Gotta BELEAF my dude.

I just don't like what I am seeing here. I am seeing the exact same problems we've had for the past 3 years.

Young, fast, skilled.
What the heck happened?
Muzzin + Brodie upgrade to the defense, overpaying the big 4 about 4-5M Collectively, and no cap increases past 2 seasons led to us having to sacrifice our strong offensive depth in Kadri/JVR/Kap/AJ/Brown/Moore/Hyman

The big 3 have all improved in production to mitigate some of the loss of production but we still are short on offensive skill and speed in the bootm 6

Mitch man. Everyone in the rink knew you were gonna pass. Go for the rebound or somethinv

Grest steal though
