I don’t know what you remember but he was a top 5 prospect who got mono. Most people wanted to tank one more year to complete the rebuild with a D man like him. Cause he got mono he dropped to the leafs even after they made the playoffs and everyone was going crazy with excitement

Dermott, Lilly, Sandin... they can all be part of the D but you can rotate them into the lineup and there cap hits are low for a while. Give them their games now and hope they all learn to run with it. That'd be huge for the Leafs.

These guys aren't 18 year olds now. It'll be tough at first but they've been playing pro hockey a while now in the AHL. Gotta let them fly.
