Marner needs a period with Nylander to get that flow back. He's ice cold.
 
I mean Lilly didn't look great there but he came back and made a play on him still.

That's the learning curve right there you'll see for a bit. The speed is another notch here. He has to learn to anticipate better there. Stutzle is no slouch though either.

This is why I want to see him get a good string of games to give him the time to adjust.

He did set up JT for a tap in who missed the puck, after that the line hasn't been in the zone much. Tavares had made 2-3 bad passes and ritchie has been slow on the puck in dump ins.

They need to get a rush chance and convert as cycling isn't working at the moment

Blatant game management with penalties not called on Ottawa after that 2-0 lead.

Good push back game by the Leafs so far.

it's not really his fault mostly... we see him doing a bunch of magic but ritchie has slowed down considerably since preseason and tavares is not playing well at all

marner's a play maker so his linemates need to be on the ball

it was a bad turnover by the leafs in their own zone lily had to react quickly and he did and made it hard for stutzle
