Its such a silly comment to rule prospects out as "this guy will never play in the NHL", when management disagrees and the guy is also producing in the AHL. I guess he's just not tall enough but come on
Agreed on Pageau being the only one that's definitely NHL ready, Prince and Puempel definitely still question marks I just think they'd be fun to watch. Especially Prince who I've only ever gotten to see live a couple times but have heard many good things about.

You see a couple kids being harder to push around than big fully matured adults? say what you want about the disparity in skill, but the disparity in strength, endurance, toughness is massive, heavily in michaleks and legwands favour.
I wanted that to but I don't think it would of been good. That team would of been pushed around so much, and after watching Edmonton that has some serious effects on the growth of the players.
At least this year the team doesn't get pushed around and has leadership. I think it'll make the team better in 2-3 years when we see some of the Bingo players come into the line up

I don't believe anyone said that Prince would not be playing in the NHL, I just don't think it will be with Ottawa. While he may get some games in Ottawa I think the organization prefers Puempel over him but what do I know it's just an opinion. BTW why doesn't Schneider ever come up in conversation about getting a shot in Ottawa?
Of course, they will have to get rid of a few bodies just to make enough roster room to bring up any prospects regardless of who they are. They are already at the maximum 23 roster players & when Methot is ready to return they will have to do something either through waivers or trade to make room for him. I would imagine we won't see any prospects in Ottawa until after the trade deadline if & only if they have room on their roster at that time.
Where are the elite scorer offensive dynamos. We need a few.But remember speed kills. Look at NYR, MTL, Pitts, Colorado.
The perfect mix is speed+size(obviously with skill too).
Ryan
Zibanejad
Stone
Chiasson
Smith
are the big bodies
Prince
Hoffman
Pageau
are the speedsters
Lazar
Turris
Mac
Puempel
are the inbetweeners
Prince is also terrific along the boards and plays with huge heart and work ethic.
Based on 5-6 Bingo games I've seen this season.Anyone got a scouting report on Wideman? Guy is ripping it up in the AHL again this year. Can't say I know too much about him..

Classic small puck moving offensive RHD. Fast, Not physical, good shot, pass, puck movement. Runs PP nicely. Takes dumb penalties.

I haven't listened to this yet but here's a thirty minute interview with Pierre Dorion about some of our prospects.

Man Perron, Lindberg and Paul are suprising but ya I don't see anyone being an impact player in the NHL aside from Dzingel.
Two things I notced.. gendron is an even +/- and hes new to defence playing in a good league... that's promising at least...
Another thing. If Quentin Shore can stay over a point per game in the NCAA that would be really nice.
Or they just don't keep track of +/- in BCHL.Two things I notced.. gendron is an even +/- and hes new to defence playing in a good league... that's promising at least...
