He’s steady and almost always makes the right play. He’s a lot like Demelo. Never said it’s a good thing that he’s our third best dman, but he’s nowhere near a problem.

He was trying to prevent the pass to an open Mantha in the slot and the net from oshie. He got beat becuase he was in a bad situation. Same with Holden in the board battle. Forwards need to do their part. Forwards were late to the board battle and to cover the slot.

Holden failed at his task to prevent the forward from coming out from behind the net; should have pinned him to the boards. Zaitsev failed at his task to stop the forward from coming to the front of the net and to take away the pass; took himself out of position by sliding away from the net. Two bad D moves.
