I'd pull the trigger now on a 3rd round pick offer but I'm expecting it to be a 4th or 5th rounder at the deadline.

Like others said, I'd shoot for a 3rd rounder but settle for a 4th or 5th if that's all he can get. He's a great 4C, has size, wins a ton of faceoffs, solid defensively, PKs, and is on pace for 20 points. Pretty much all you could ask from a 4C.

I'd take it. Lafferty seems like someone you don't mind as your 13th forward for a year if you aren't cap-strapped.
