He was trying to prevent the pass to an open Mantha in the slot and the net from oshie. He got beat becuase he was in a bad situation. Same with Holden in the board battle. Forwards need to do their part. Forwards were late to the board battle and to cover the slot.

Chabot Zub is really an awesome pair
Then Holden,
Then everyone else including Brannstrom and they all need to be sheltered.
The D is a problem and has been with this team for years and it hasn't been addressed.
Dorion clearly wants to wait for Sanderson and one of or both Thomson or JBD to come in
