Steve-O had a better time in that slingshot bungee portapotty filled with dog poop than I have watching this game.

I have a feeling "we all really like each other" means "we like to party"

I don't even think this is a particularly hard partying team. There's just very little accountability and as much as I hate to admit it, Chucky doesn't seem to be mature enough to lead a young team without the proper coaching team in place to help him out. Lots of work to do for new ownership when they come in, which I hope they're aware of.

I only say that because they have way too many low energy games for 1. being that young and 2. being and NHL team.

The team just doesn't have an identity aside from "we all really like each other".

That's not gonna cut it in the NHL. We need management and coaching who can look at the pieces in place and form an identity based on what they have, while also adding the proper complimentary players to make this a complete team.

We're so far off from that right now it's not funny. Talent's there for sure, but that's about it.

Yep. There really isn't any identity or consistency. Poor defense and attention to detail. Poor even strength scoring

They really don't. Whatever the identity is they talk about, it doesn't show up with any consistency throughout the lineup.

The top lines play pond hockey and their skill is mitigated by big mistakes and the inability to produce 5 on 5 offense.

The bottom lines work hard and provide no offense.

Defense is a another post altogether.

Imagine thinking a peewee level coach would be the man to guide and lead a talented but unpolished bunch of kids.

Imagine thinking there's only one side to the puck. Yet that's DJ Dorion mindset

Imagine thinking you can win consistently in the NHL with 10 good players and the rest of your lineup filled with subpar or mediocre players

Imagine trading Nick Paul over a few $ when you struggle to keep the puck out of your net

Imagine throwing all your young talent to the wolves without proper coaching and veteran talent to guide them and thinking the rebuild is going to "go well"

We could go on and on

I think the problem is the guys think they're elite when they aren't. Show up, dipsy doodle on the ice, and put up points.

They aren't anywhere near skilled enough to do that and win hockey games.

I don't think Jamie Baker is on the postgame show but I would text in to ask him how he feels about his "they've righted the ship" take after these last few games. They can barely beat a bottom scraper and have looked like shit against one of the coldest teams in the league.
