I think what makes it worse is the contracts handed out. We pay people based on what we want them to be not what they are.

Those contracts also make it more difficult to improve the team and add good pieces to the puzzle.

I would say we aren't a very consistent team. We have a lot of talent. We just need a coach who knows how to use it the right way.

This is what happens when you let a bad coach continue to put his mark on a team long after his expiry date.

The sad part, when they have to only do one thing, Offence(PP) or defend(PK) they ars actually very good. They are 6th for both PP and PK i believe.

But when they have to play both at the same time(5v5), they suck.

That's not gonna cut it in the NHL. We need management and coaching who can look at the pieces in place and form an identity based on what they have, while also adding the proper complimentary players to make this a complete team.

We're so far off from that right now it's not funny. Talent's there for sure, but that's about it.
