Pretty much what everyone here knew was going to happen...The league better not just hand this team away though, this team needs ownership to put the best product on the ice ...We need strong committed ownership, which this never has had..

Bruce is incredibly buttblasted that Anna and Olivia didn't text him first lmao
Lol,so true

Melynk daughters did well...pump up the value and sell...
They clearly got some good advice from the league and their advisors, and were smart enough to listen to it. Don't look panicked, take some steps to improve the team and project stability, and start getting things ready behind the scenes. Realistically, this was always the way this was going to end - it's just that sales of this magnitude typically take several months to complete from start to finish....

I'd imagine the backers would have to pretty significant.

This is the group I’m hoping comes out with the team. Desmarais has deep roots here even though he’s not technically local.

I assume there has been some resolution to the two lawsuits between Ruddy and Melnyk since the sale is coming.

Whenever the franchise is sold, for whatever price, and the new owner(s) also have the relocation/arena costs in a few years, to Lebreton Flats….. don’t expect the new owner(s) to also start shovelling tons of cash into the day to day operations of the team/player acquisition…..
Oh, we do, and they will.

We Thought it was going to be Paul Anka, and it ends up being Justin Beider.
Paul Anka would be sweet. Sens could enter to a live crooning of Moon River. Should fire the crowd up.

I'm sure this has been in the works for sometime, even prior to Melnyk's passing. Bettman keeps these things closely guarded, so the fact the the sold sign is officially being discussed by the media means the sale must be imminent.

Or a single report came out and the rest is simply sports media feeding frenzy.

Could you imagine the marketing with them having unlimited access to Reynolds for commercials and campaigns? PLEASE
Well, Aviation gin would become our officiant Gin and mint mobile our official cell provider so that's nice I guess.

This would be so much fun.
Yeah that would be awesome.
He's super funny and a genuinely likeable guy. Ottawa would be the talk of the hockey world. It would even increase the fanbase having deadpool be our owner. Might bring us some broad fame if he did another documentary on it (welcome to wexham is awesome by the way).

Still digging in, in anyway possible I see. Season ticket sales literally doubled in one offseason when they showed one iota of commitment to winning. Your argument is terrible.

Yeah that Wrexham show was great. They seem like they really care about the city and community. Would love to have some of that around the sens.

But he’d need to sell a lot more gin / make more movies to own any significant piece of the team.
