Myers has also had a very nice season thus far.Chiarot, Morrow and Myers are a far, FAR bigger problem than Little, who has had a fairly nice year all things considered.

Lol, this post sums up the insecurity of this board. Get off the ledge.0-2 to start 10 of next 15 on road and based on the way they have played this season good chance they will be closer to wild card then 1st when the 15 games are done.
Here's the difference: Scheifele showed a consistent improvement over his ELC and in his last half-season of ELC was scoring at >1 PPG pace.I don't understand why people keep bringing up Scheifele's deal and comparing him to our other young players....Scheifele's first three years: 34 points, 49 points and 61 points. Laine's: 64 points and 70 points and has 36 so far this year. He is also going to have three straight years of over 30 goals.
Laine's performance before his second contract kicks the crap out of Scheifele's. Laine also did it at younger age. ... Mark wasn't signed to an elite player deal as he had only showed about half a season of elite play. Laine has shown about 2 and a quarter year of it. He will and deserves to get more as his resume is pretty darn amazing for his age. There are very few who have accomplished as much as he has at this stage of their careers.
Another issue is the expansion draft in 2020. With Wheeler’s NTC he would be protected and someone like Connor, Ehlers or Lowry will be exposed. Is it worth it to lose a young player for an aging player with deteriorating skills ?
Not saying Wheeler is a must-keep, but Lowry will be a past-his-prime wreck by then. Let Seattle have him.
Is Lowry ever going to have a prime? Totally overrated!

If I were a Pediatrician looking at 2 baby brothers, Scheifele and Laine, I'd be a bit worried that 10 lb baby Laine, who was walking at 8 months, was falling off the developmental chart as a toddler.
Whereas older brother Scheifele, who couldn't walk without falling till 16 months, was literally leapfrogging his peers at age 3.
It was last year until he got hurt.

Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure the Jets weren't in first place when they fired Noel.
I think we have the most angst-ridden fanbase in the NHL. Maybe the long NHL absence has put us on edge.
By the way, why is Perreault playing with the least skill possible?
You literally have a guy who can generate all the chances in the world, and you shackle him to an offensively inept RW and Lowry, who is putting up 1.0 5v5 points per 60 minutes this year. When has that ever made sense?
