81 D ORLOV Dmitri
10 F MOZYAKIN Sergei +A
13 F DATSYUK Pavel +C
16 F PLOTNIKOV Sergei
39 F SANNIKOV Stepan

Is this a unit with 1 D and 4 F, or how am I supposed to understand this? Thanks.

They play their -ovs like we play -nens.

Luckily we got a couple of okay -ovs too. Barkov reportedly gets occasionally asked by the Russian media why he's not playing in the Russian NT despite he has the Russian passport too. I think the answer usually is "No one asked me when I had to make my pick."

It's kind of funny when compared to the Finnish NT where they put him to 1C for the Olympic team at the age of 18, next to the promising young juniors Selanne and Granlund.

Why, thank you neighbour. I'm calling 3-2 for us.

Because of our great history togheter! and if Sweden can't win! Finland is the second best option in my book to bring the gold to the great north:nod:!

I hope it wont be a nailbiter tho!!! but i say 4-2 last goal in empty net! go for gold now boys:handclap:

There is no favorite in this one. Both teams are absolutely equal to me. So much looking forward to both semifinals

BTW, what actually happened to Kukkonen? He's not playing due to a lower-body injury, but I can't remember where he got that.

He's been one of our best defenders, which is more than a little disturbing, when you think about it... All humour aside, years of experience have made him a very reliable defensive defenceman, and our team sorely needs players like him.

IIRC it started with him having leg cramps

If you take a historical perspective, can you point me to when Finland has won a best-on-best event?

Learn hockey history please. You haven't surpassed anything. I think Finland is on the rise but don't put the cart before the horse. Show respect to your opponent.

Finland hasn't won a single best-on-best event. So what, neither has Russia. Finland has been clearly better in the last tournaments.

Worst start possible for Finns.
You can't let them score early and get their game going.

Do not give up, Suomi! Russians will break easily if you keep pressing them. Prove that home ice curse is real! Russians do not deserve to be victorious.
