Man, why did JJ put Lankinen on goal for the game. I have a feeling the game will start out evenly, and then every 10 - 15 minutes there is an easy goal for Russia because Lankinen fumbles or loses track of the puck. Then the game ends 2-6 for Russia.
The better goalies said no or were unavailable for the tournament, so there is no choice.

Finland is in tough against this Russian team. However they have shown in the past they have the ability to beat Russia and are probably the only team left who can. I say probably because I am Canadian and if we make the final against the Russians we have the ability to raise our level of effort and overcome this talented Russian squad. Looking for a close game in this one then most people expect.

This is Russia’s tournament, let’s face it. They are stacked. They are playing the right way and their defence which has been a problem in the past doesn’t seem to Be hurting them. They faced their adversity against the Americans and won. Having said all that, they can still be beaten with a great effort and a little luck. Should be fun.

Good luck to both teams!

But better luck to the Finns.

No offence Russia, but if Canada wins, I'd rather play Finland this year.

On paper this game should be 13-1 for Russia but let's see how they react to a cohesive team Finland that keeps grinding away like a concrete mixer no matter what happens in the game.

The Finns have upset Russian all-star teams before but never with a team quite like this.

If team Russia wins I just hope it will be fair and square without officiating controversies or dirty stuff.
