Pretty unreal shift by him to end the 2nd.
There's a contingent of leafs fans who insist on calling him a "second pairing" defenseman.
If this goes anything like Oilers games, that means the Canada goalie will let in a softy soon.

all it takes is a hot goalie in a 1-of game. that being said we are getting our chances. hope kuemper doesn't let in a softie

Canada has to work harder to earn one.
The best calls are hooks when Canada is moving. So far, the Swiss have been faster on open ice.

In fairness they've played pretty disciplined.

No they would not. Their goaltending is so terrible that even with this domination, they would still lose to any team with Hellebuyck, Fleury, Vasilevskiy, and Holtby in net. They are dominating right now and still losing on the scoreboard and these NHL playoffs have shown that teams can win while being mostly dominated if their goaltending is significantly better. If you swap Fleury and Hellebuyck, Winnipeg is up 3-1 in that series, and the difference between those goalies is much smaller than the difference between Darcy f***ing Kuemper and any one of the 4 goalies I mentioned.

I'm overwhelmed by how bad Kuemper has been. Were these really the best available Canadian goaltending we had? Hockey Canada better do some investigating as we clearly have an issue here...
