So in other words, if the worst case scenario occurs for Canada, they will lose more than 5 games out of 10.

Worst case scenario would probably happen once in twenty games, if that.

Canada does not have to play great, they just need to play okay to win this. Fucale just needs to be decent and not completely **** the bed.

Yes, Slovakia is probably a better team now than the last time we met, but so is Canada of course, so that argument is quite weird.


Anyone really expecting a 3-2/4-2 type of game ... well, you will see. McDavid's and Domi's line should dominate tonight. If Canada plays hard, on 100% play-off level, it won't end well for the Slovaks.

I doubt Slovakia is getting any favours from the refs, especially when I look back at the Germany game and the 2nd goal which they gifted to the Germans.

Usually refs are unconsciously biased for the team that is expected to be better. That way if the weaker team loses, no one's gonna believe their whining and refs a*** are safe.

For him, it's because it's a Jets prospect. For everyone else, it's because they don't want to be wrong about how they thought Fucale would play in the tournament. The narrative has been the same for an entire year. All-in-all, people love having something to complain about.

I've been reading this WJ thread off and on and keep seeing the same old **** over and over and I just have 2 things to say.

1st. Any one who underestimates any team in a one and done tournament, is setting them selves up for failure ... so I just hope team Canada isn't being as arrogant as some of you guys in here.

2nd. Those of you that keep *****ing about fucale ... it's painfully obvious that you have an agenda on your minds .. our goaltending has been fantastic! Both of em! This whole "this goaltender, or that goaltender scares me" .. well, then grow a set and stop being scared lil *****es!

Anyway, how about cheering for Canada if you are Canadian .. and leave the whining and *****ing for the anti Canada crowd?

Well, we're halfway to the Canada vs Russia final I hoped to see. I doubt they'll take Slovakia lightly, we need 60 minutes of good hockey to win this game and we've seemed to come out strong so far this tournament. Wish it was 9 PM now!
