Slovakia scoring two is as likely as Gauthier scoring one

Slovaks will collapse in front of the net early and keep it 0-0 for longer than I am comfortable with, Canada will make adjustments and start crashing the net, Slovak defense will start to break down and Canada will score a couple. The Slovaks will need to open up the game in order to try and come back, and Canada will start scoring almost at will for a good stretch, then coast to the win.

I think Slovakia has the potential to scare Canada based on what I saw in their QF against the czechs.

A hot start is important once again. The sooner we put Slovakia in a hole the better, as the longer they hang around the more they believe they can win the game. The first period will probably close but our depth should start to shine through late in the 2nd and into the 3rd periods. Lets hope for another good game!

If Godla is in beast mode and Canadians come underestimating the opponent badly, not ready and just surfing, Slovaks win more than 5 games out of 10.

If Canada does not take this game too lightly and keeps their foot on the gas, it should be a 7-0 or 7-1 thrashing. I wish they had a stiffer opponent in the semi's to get them ready for the Swedes or Russians. Go Canada Go!
