U18: Semi-Finals at the U18!

Imagine if Canada had 5 or 6 exhibition games to get used to their teammates. And of course Bedard. the defense would still be crap but they might be able to win high scoring games.
Would it help. Yes but that is not the answer to winning at this U 18 level. The upper echelon teams are structured to win this tournament. Without special teams that are trained to excel, we get what we get like this game. You need a power play and penalty killing to win. Can’t do it by playing with players that don’t know each other’s first name.
tough love.

The mistakes the Canadians are making aren't something a couple more pre-tournament games will iron out.

Yes Unless you have a Bedard you aren't beating the US who plays together for years.

Yes, he is all over the place but has he given up a "bad" goal?

I am truly asking - I can't remember.
Nothing egregious but he’s also not making any big saves either. I wouldn’t say it’s his fault but he’s also not helping the cause.

Swedish coach seems to be demonstrating the play Barlow made in the crease earlier that didn't get called. I suppose everyone has a complaint about the officiating now.

Bjarnason's out - he got trucked in the head by Nordh in the first and didn't return to start the second.
Oh, I just assumed it was Bjarnason after watching 10 minutes of this period only but that explains the goaltending.
