Another year and another year of failure for sweden. Doesnt matter what group they are in or who is in there group its always the same result, dominate round robin, 1st game loss in knock out stage.
So we're just going to ignore the quarter finals? Ok. I guess we can if it fits the sensationalist narrative.

Sure, it was a bad change. That doesn’t change the fact that his reaction to the situation was not optimal at all. He had a brain fart there as well.

No he didnt. He clearly wanted the others to stay in but they didnt and he was dead tired, that's why he was frustrated after.

Anyway, he had an unbelievable game and he's their tournament MVP for sure, and now he's heading back to the AHL All Stars. Not bad at all.

Russia vs Canada is what the world wants

Best rivalry in international hockey.

No other team I would rather play against with everything on the line than the Russians. It’s a special hockey rivalry.

Respect to them for reaching the final, now it’s up to our boys to handle business against a really good Finnish team.

This the best Russian team in quite a while. It deserves to play in the final. Now, I wonder, who will start for the Russians in the goal in the final ? ;-)
Deserve is a wrong word. If deserving decided anything, Sweden would have won 5 or 6 WjC in last 12 years.

Congrats Russia extremy boring to loose to you every time. I blame Höglander and the Swedish goalie who assisted u a goal.

The Bragin Balls team strikes again.

coming from behind in the third to win the game.

Great job, boys!

good game by team Sweden as well, they played hard, we were just a bit luckier in OT

I thought Russia was very poised and patient in OT.

They collapsed well and didn’t force anything when Sweden had the puck, and didn’t give them anything.

That play with the line-change was brilliant as there was nothing Sweden could do to stop him coming in at full speed.

Too much bickering on here! The better team won and Sweden had a great game considering we lost our top forward and played one period short handed on top of it.

3 vs 3 sucks in a semi final but it’s the same for both teams and as many times as we’ve won gold in a shootout I reckon we shouldn’t complain.

Great tournament Sweden!

I am a Leafs fan and some of you Leafs fan needs to chill
Sandin played great, but that play he wasn't very good

Lets move on. Russia deserved to win that game and won the game

He kept the Russian to the outside.

Sweden goalie needs to save that 10/10 times.

Agreed. Dont know why we get so defensive.... it's not like hf comments determine how good of a prospect he is.

Not sure where everyone elses feed went but the TSN Sportscentre was all Russian hilarity...

Svechnikov tosses his opponents stick into the stands and gets a penalty
Post game, Kuzsnetsov says the media won't praise Samsonov as one of the best goalies in the NHL because he's Russian

Gotta love the passion lately

You’re letting your emotional attachment to a player cloud your logical judgment here. He made a bad read. It doesn’t mean he didn’t have a good tournament or that he isn’t a good player. Good, even great players make bad plays. He made one on the winning goal.
