3-0 in the 1st is the most dangerous lead in junior hockey... Keep your foot on the gas lads!

They better keep their foot on the gas in the next two periods, because ten years ago today, Canada had a 3-0 lead in the gold medal game against the Russians until the Russians stormed back with 5 unanswered and won the game 5-3. Hopefully, history doesn't repeat itself tonight as long as Canada plays its game and keep the Russians in check.

Perception is so much different now in hockey re: reasons why you fall like a sack of potatoes and do a death roll...

I am getting "older"... therefore My sense of fair play is different...

You didn't fall like that years ago unless you were already unconscious as you were falling..

I dislike it in soccer... I dislike in hockey...

Thus My point..

Control your stick ?

Control your sportsmanship...

If I wanted actors in sport... I'd watch Slapshot the movie...

You have zero argument, he was bleeding. Hard stop. It's pathetic you are trying to play this off as unsportsmanlike like after getting hit I'm the fave with a stick that cut his chin.

You are likely close to my age (37), so we grew up with the same game. The only difference is I'm being reasonable and understand the rules, where you are letting emotions get in the way.

Schneider has litteraly been Canadas worst player by far this tournament. Has no ability on the puck at all. Wouldn't have taken him in the top 3 rounds and I say this as a Rangers fan.
It's a good thing you're not on the Rangers staff then. He's effective not flashy but most here can't see that. Makes the safe effective decision every time and shuts down every attack by the opponents, he's the type who won't get headlines but is a key reason a team will win. Suzuki, Barron and Holloway have kinda been the clear worst(no canadian player has been overly bad tbh)

Levi has the benefit of a dominant Team Canada. Rarely gets tested.

I’m sure there were people on this board saying the same things about Glass and Pogge 16 years ago. Levi is nothing special but all Canada needs is someone who won’t give up deflating goals in big games. Which is something we deal with way to often in this tournament.

It nearly did in the 2015 final too!

He was terribly out of position on the second goal.

Puck went through him on the third goal.

I mean, it is not all him, but he is certainly not having a good game.

Thats a goal on any keeper in the tourney. Brutal D in front of the net.

Nice to have the early lead but I've seen enough Canada vs Russia games to know the lead will change another 2-3 times. Wouldn't feel safe with a 6-0 lead at this level, no matter how good the team has been.
I don't know if the leads going to change that many times, but I definitely will never count Russia out. I've seen too many games where they started roaring back after being down!

I do not agree. Schneider constantly fumbles the puck on the breakout and ruins plenty of counter attacking opportunities. He has no creativity in the offensive zone and is clueless on the puck, making the safe play every time, sometimes failing with that. He is good defensively but that doesn´t compensate for being by far the worst player on the ice with the puck, both teams included.
