Still my opinion is true and thats it! The game is awful for us. I dont like canadian hockey because they are arrogant to Europeans and play dirty when they are losing.

Well if the World Championships matter more, I guess it’s good that Canada has 26 golds and Finland has 3.

It's true tho. People who watch hockey are interested in WJC, but WHC is watched by everyone. It's a bit like Americans and Olympics.
Hope Hayton is ok, looked like an accident to me.

Yeah a half assed team tournament. Why that would be so important to some is beyond me. Talk to me when the absolute best are playing for every team.

No. It's not a half-assed tournament. It's just traditionally very important in European hockey countries and often very good quality too. It's not like the Spengler Cup or some other dog turd of a tourney.

NHL and NHLPA have destroyed best on best tournies. You should talk to them about that.

Well done Canada, we never even had a chance. You came hard, scored the goals needed and did what you had to do after that. I hope we meet again next year. It is our turn to play for gold and win it.;)

Your country won half of the last 6 tournament and earned a silver (should have been gold, it was a good OT goal) at the last womens world championships. Be proud of your boys.

He's been real bad the entire tournament.

At this point I'm thinking Mercer and Drysdale will get picked higher.

Has there ever been a case of player wanting to be drafted later so a better performing team will get him? Usually if you go 1st, 2nd or 3rd, it's very unlikely that your team is a contender.

Well this game was kind of boring. It was intense for like 10 minutes and then it turned cold. Clean win by Canada.

We all know this.

We are reminded of it every year.

Personally, I watch the WHC every year but I grew up in Europe so it’s a bit different for me.

For most Canadians, it’s on in the afternoon (because it’s almost always in Europe) and it competes with the NHL playoffs so the profile just isn’t the same.

I like to see the interesting line combinations from different teams who didn’t make the post-season.

Agree to disagree - Canada's defence and especially the 5-man defence is probably the weakest component of this year's team. That being said, they do have some strong individuals.

Hofer covers a good amount of the deficiency, but overall the structure isn't nearly as resilient as I'd like to see (to feel comfortable about it anyways.)

They've been solid, but if Hofer hadn't been world class in net, I'm sure we'd still be doubting them.

Definitely the weakest part of the team yeah. Hofer has been quality but it's not like he's stood on his head or anything. The defenseman for Canada can really skate. Addison and Drysdale especially are impressive and move the puck really effectively.

And men won gold. It is a bigger thing for this country. Everyone follows that tournament. It is the best thing ever to read about every single Finn posting on ig something about the game. It is very special for us.
