Just personal opinion that Kurri has been the difference maker in adults and also Jere Lehtinen. Tsn got nice video about finns, how has finland gone from pesky to powerhouse?

I would imagine it was the lack of results that drew more focus towards the junior development. There was a stretch of several draft classes where the best finnish NHLer was Lauri Korpikoski, so I imagine that can serve as a wakeup call for a country when hockey is the #1 sport.

Many speculated the cause of this lackluster development was in the "everyone plays" mentality of the junior development system that would train everyone to be grinders instead of focusing on the development of the talented individuals.

I thought you lived near Le Massif! Seriously, my favourite East hill. Did they ever fix the sinkhole at the bottom of it? Where all the runs ran into one main little hill which is iced over by 10am? I hated that.

Other problem was that it's too difficult a hill to take family to. My wife would kill me if I took her to Massif.lol

Heh, oh, no I’m from Ottawa. It’s a 5 good five hours from Ottawa so I don’t get out here that often.

They still have that one way down which as you say, can be dicey as the day goes on. Mt. Tremblant has the same issue.
