Looks like Canada is wearing their blacks again. They're fun as a once a tournament third jersey, but I'm not a huge fan of using them more than the reds.

That is a good one because it is true. We don't have tipping culture.

I am not afraid to admit that my enjoyment of watching international hockey has greatly inspired me to learn more about the many other cultures that we share this game with over the years.

In the tipping aspect, I am mostly a Finn too. :DD

Alright Suomi, our mutual love and respect ends for the next while. Game day baby.

Our Canadian boys need to ****ing bury you. Hoping we play the Canadian Way and run the smaller Finns completely out of the building. We need to physically impose our will this game and the scoring will come from it after.

It will be a close game, Annunen will save or kill us.

But not get match penalties...

In light of this fact, why Finland is always considered the underdog?

And if Finland wins someone, it's always because of shutting down the opponent, not because of great offense and generally being the better team?

This.

I know roster wise this years team wasn't expected to compete for gold but how many times Finland has to win this tournament to not be considered an underdog?

First thing to get settled: where are the refs from calling this game? they sure as hell better not be from belarus, they have had it in for us for ages.
